    No Deker, I posted it in the wrong section. oops?. I’ll do some accuracy and velocity tests in a couple of weeks and post it up, for anybody who might be interested. Like I say, they were cheap enough, so I thought they were worth a punt. Used to use them in the tube mags and they worked fine, but as you say, a bit tricky in the clip mags that we find in most modern rimfires.

    Picked some of these up, 28 grain. I’m planning to give them a go at the squirrels. I fired a couple off this morning, hit a small apple ? both shots at 40 yards, but they went off with a bit of a crack. I’m not sure if they’re quite subsonic? I will put a few over the chrono and see what they’re doing. Anybody tried them? They were cheap enough anyway.

    I’ve been thinking about getting one Nigel. Are you using 32 grain or 40 grain?

    Good shooting Nathan. I’ve found some brands of hv hp to be every bit as accurate as hp subs. Eley, RWS, Federal Classic to name three.?

    Are the federal game shok the 31 grain or 38 grain Nathan? I’ve looked out for the 31 grain to try, but haven’t found any yet. The 38 grain hv’s we’re good so I’d like to try the 31 grain, if I could find some.....?

    Interesting stuff Nathan. I tried some federal hv hp classic from livens. They were only about £3:summat a box if I remember right, and were really good. They haven’t had any in since though, I don’t think ?. Like you though, my preferred.22 hv was Eley, but they stopped making them for a few years, now they’re available again, but I haven’t seen any of the new ones for sale yet...rws hv hp are good though.
