  1. Love catching offenders! Who the feck are you then?
  2. The bitch I had was well socialised and was worked with dogs until she was about 10 months old. She had a fight with an adult Patterdale bitch before she was 6 months old and it just got worse. The Patterdale bitch that she fought wasn't a fighter.
  3. looks exactly like a Bull Wheaten cross. Don't see point in owning one to be fair, not nowadays. I had a litter about 30 years ago, when I was a bit less knowledgeable.
  4. If you are not allowed to shoot, you are fecked. Everything else is on show, traps especially. Cage traps are not that effective for rabbits.
  5. Loads of mincers on here.
  6. Same with dog food, can't get many things with legs on in a freezer. East to store, not a thing gets wasted here. Only me
  7. They think they are missing out and are worried when they get a stiffy when watching men kiss ?
  8. He who protests too much.
  9. I thought the dog was half decent, took a couple of good boots. Shame the owner was a div, dog is probably dead now and the owner would of got a telling off.
  10. I forgot unnecessary treatments
  11. I could write a book about bad practise, massive rip offs, no nothing muppets and robbing bar stewards. I get sick of hearing about them, those and the insurance companies that control them.
  12. Didn't take long for this thread to be turned into a slagging match. If you don't know any good stuff, then you know the wrong people.
  13. I've used these in my Spaniel Terrier X's. They seem to do the trick for what I wanted. I used the largest Terrier I know, a real brute of a dog and not what I would call a true digging dog, or at least not a weekly user.
  14. What have been done with the parents and have you any pictures?
  15. Met loads over the years. Some can't keep up, some don't like to cross boundaries, some take the piss and risk ya liberty. Some let you down, loads talk bollox ? keeping ya mouth shut at times is an important skill when hunting ? I think a lot of the time life gets in the way and makes things hard to organise. I tend to go out mostly on my own, as I can grab a hour or two here and there. Distance is a big thing with hunting associates now a days for me. As you get older people spread about and arranging meets becomes a bit of a thing. Driving a hour or two, to meet and take the dog

    Dobermans ?

They'll be loads of decent secondhand Shepherds that people can't handle, if you are prepared to drive and you know what you are looking for. Seen and been offered lots over the last few years, That's without even looking. Seen them all, at all ages.
  17. You seen a bird fly a Hare? A battle yes I agree, but chasing the fastest animal in the cuntry for a 10/20 seconds chase at most isn't giving the quarry it's best chance. The bird on bird thing is, I think the most sporting and fairly matched. A good Pheasant that can ditch in cover, or a heavy fast duck taken by a Falcon is pretty spectacular. I'm not say that catching rabbits isn't great action, because it is. It just seems easy, "if" you know what you're doing and Moorman, you seen to have sussed it. Well done geezer.
  18. I've seen Goshawks nail rabbits one after another and if the rabbit make 50m, it did well. With Hares as you said, the main feat is hanging on to them. That is unless the Hare has been flown before and it knows what is coming. then they're hard to catch. As a dog man, I cringe a how easy a Hawk makes a capture. As skilful and elegant it is, I call it mugging ?. "A waste of a good Hare" , I heard it described as. I still enjoy a few hours out with the birds and go as often as my spare time allows me to.
  19. Not read all of your thread, but how much does that bird weigh?
