That's good kev,can affect them long term ,my bitch got attacked by a terrier I had she's ok ,but in certain situations she can be a little sharp with strange dogs
i've heard good things about skinners ,never used it,i feed raw now,but just put then on a lower protein one of the same brand.
but as long as their piss aint strong and their coat is ok don't see any harm
You do get some that are one man dogs my bit h is the same.
I quite like the trait.
All I would suggest is one to one time on their own maybe a bit of fun training and a long line to encourage recall ,lots of praise on recall
Thanks for the replies folks the flaky skin seems to have settled down, now after using a medicated shampoo from the chemists,
Just the thin coat now but I expect that to come good ,having been moulting while rearing pups hasn't helped,so decent diet and hopefully regrow when Autumn is here
All mine are booked, thankfully, they should be all gone, for next weekend, they are at the age they need, there new homes.
Getting to the fighting stage.
Soon be gone so you can concentrate on the one youb are keeping
Just make sure you are alone or with well behaved dogs, whilst trying it as the last thing you want is the catch being stolen from the pup,or laps of honour,or a tug of war
My bitch has never retrieved a dummy or a ball,
Has never been interested even as a pup.
Her recall has always been great though,so if she catches a rabbit I just called her and she came back.
First few I walked a few feet away from her and called her to me,it soon clicked
