Shame for the bitch though,she wouldn't have seen any amount work at that age,taking the 16 or 18 weeks of pregnancy and rearing that would have took her back to the begining of this year she would've at most had a couple of months running ,shocking really

    doubt they'd use a working cocker over a poodle,it'd be a 'show type' world of difference, just go and see a litter of patterdale x cockers and say the poodle was the sire and not available to view give the breeder a call to let him know the craic,then let her pick ,if its crazy it will be all her fault

    Having said that,why not go for a lurcher with a bit of bull in it ? I've just bred a litter to my Bitch With a coursing dog ,look for a 1/2 cross to a coursing dog or similar

    A litter will come up,although maybe not in your area,I like 3/8 bull but there will be differences no matter what My 3/8 isn't heavy although some are. All depends on what you class as heavy. Just put Tue word out on here see what comes up

    Go for a line bred bull cross that are throwing similar stuff to what you wantthen don't do what a lot do and pick the biggest lump in the litter ,pick an average long backed one,also consider the work you want from it,best advice is take your time get to know lads with decent stuff,get your name down,even if it's a couple of years away,it'll be worth the wait

    Buying a licence to control farmers pests,how would that work? Surely the would use the licence to keep tabs on People who hunt?and the people break the law wouldn't get one anyway, I believe if their was vast areas of common land,like the USA that would work but everywhere here is owned
