I personally like a bull cross to be able to catch most things And have heart to see the job done That should be the standard you judge a dog by,not what breeds or % of breeds are in there , So gaffer,to answer your thread ,the correct % of bull in a bull cross is the dog that is in front of you doing the business,if that's a 1/2 then it's a 1/2. As regards to their ability I'll tell you in a year or so ,I ain't going to say they are great and good all rounder etc just because I have one lol it will depend on what the parents have done and what you put in front of them but hopefully they will do a job

Yes see what you are saying gafer all the stud dogs litter mates where rough so there's maybe a 25% chance he carries the genes for it and then breeding to a smooth bull cross who isn't big enough. and a stud dog that beddy whippet grey.He ain't going to add size to a bitch that isn't big enough is he. Maybe start with a bigger rougher dog and a bigger bull cross bitch that's quick enough. Just a though kev you can't add genes that ain't there . my bitch is smaller than i wanted tbh roy and was hoping they would be rough but they just have a good thick coatdidn't you buy her as a grown dog mate? And both are smooth so I'd have guessed they may have been smooth
