Genuine question to everyone who wants 1/2 cross collies (or any other cross for that matter) why has it got to be a 1/2 cross? I would prefer a lurcher a few generations down the line in a hope that someone has done the hard work and fixed a bit of ability ,or took some of the guess work out of the breeding? As I say not knocking just the way I look at it.

There's many reasons to get an animal neutered ,and maybe neutering pet dogs that have no need to breed is a good idea but being dominant or aggressive ,aint. It won't cure that.

Speaking only for the ones I've seen work , a decent bull cross, will work through the inconvenience of a bit of pain and still try it's hardest. ,although it can be to a fault at times, it's a fault I'd put up with over one that over thinks the job and picks it's hold. Not saying a Saluki,bull ,grey can't throw the same ,as I'm sure there must be lines that have ,And as a lurcher I'm sure they will suit more people.

i have both ,and out of the same bull cross mother ,and as you say the difference is night and day. the saluki adds ,but also takes away

I used razor ,the bitches were fine and about 25 the dogs 27 and strong, buddy ,from what I've seen threw a strong pup.

Thing his with whippet they have a funny habit of hanging in a line fa many generations much same has a drop of bull blood ,now I don't know the ads act make up of the breeds in these animals names are just that what went in them breed wise maybe no one will ever know lol.atb bunnys. I had one and you've pretty much described how she was for me. She'd go to ground when told ,and come out to ,bolted loads . But was a couple of yards too slow for anything that got up to speed . A top size terrier to a good size grey would be a better option. But whether I'd try another,I doubt it.

I hear Andy is giving golf a serious thought. Just don't pay too much for the clubs ,as I'd expect them being on eBay within 6 weeks and boots will be running by the bike getting fit for September
