    Its because hawke's are second focal plane scopes and why they are only true mil dot at either 10x or 20x depending on the model your best of having a look at youtube on the first vs second focal plane stuff they explain it much better you can splash out on a first focal plane scope which will be a true mil dot at any magnification

    Rabbits and Hares need to be gutted before hanging mate If you leave the guts in for a cupple of hours they stink and the smell is hard to get off your clothes / hands.. bit like the smell of ferret

    With rabbits I personally don't hang mine, but my shooting buddy hangs his for up to 2 days if the weather is warm and 5 if its cold He says it increases the flavor but i just think it makes the house smell ATB Adam

    I'm not sure if Adi tunes them as in has his own kit..but im almost positive if you had a kit ie V-Mach or SFS or one of the many others out there, he could fit it for you your best giving him a ring and asking him ATB Adam

    Had the same issue on my dads 10xs raider, the barrel ports had become miss aligned after the barrel became loose, this meant that not only did the barrel wobble and throw the zero off the power levels were all over the place After a service at A&M Custom Gunsmiths it is now shooting pellet on pellet. Make sure everything is tight including any barrel bands etc cos if its loose the barrel will wobble all over the place You will be able to tell if the barrel is loose you can rotate it by hand ATB Adam

    Why have you limited yourself to only one of those two rifles? out of the two I would have to say the super 6 - Si (Zini) has done a very good review on one and the accuracy seems to be spot on ATB Adam

    That's all very good.. But the man wanted to know at what distance have you taken down a target, hence the title of the thread.. If after you have put in all your good principles and back drops and whatever else you want to consider its only 30yards...then say 30yards! Or if your just moaning saying its unethical and risky to make long range shots then take it to the anti hunters forum not a hunting one

    The hw100 is a great choice, you will not be dissapointed with one of those ATB Adam

    With any shot there is a risk of wounding, with practice (on non live targets) long range shots are just as viable as any other shot Atb Adam
