  1. 37 states allow ownership of silencers although some do not allow the use of them by the general public or for hunting use and 13 do not allow silencers
  2. Unless your scope is capable of receiving a tv picture I doubt they will be interested in your firearms at all bud. The licencing website states... "Part 4 of the Communications Act 2003 makes it an offence to install or use a television receiver to watch or record any television programmes as they're being shown on television without a valid TV Licence" No receiver in your modern technology - no problem As for watching it online that's different and you don't need a licence for that ATB Adam
  3. My friend shoots subs through his 10/22 and that doesn't have any issues and its got a standard spring Is it a common problem 10/22 not cycling subs? once you have cut the spring how does it fare with sonic ammo? And yes many states have banned mods and sub ammo ATB Adam
  4. No not trolls.. just nutters like this bloke
  5. Depends on the land & your experience & what you are going to be shooting more of fox or rabbit For mainly rabbits.. You wont be dissapointed with a 22LR, great little rifles and ammo is cheap but widely accepted (by many police forces) as NOT suitable for foxes For rabbits and the odd fox.. Your best chance is probably a 17hmr, great for rabbits and many forces seem to accept fox with it, I think the ammo for them is a little bit pricey at the minute though. If your going to be shooting more foxes than rabbits it would be better to get a more capable caliber like a
  6. They just put all their chicken bones into a bowl and throw them out mate, whatever lands on that day is what they go with A rifle and a licence is better than no rifle or licence, you can always add to your collection later on and it gives you chance to master your 22 ATB Adam

  11. I had my cabinet & safe installed before the inspection, the fao inspected it as part of the interview. Took 4 weeks from posting application, getting the interview and then receiving licences through the post. what happens if the licence comes through and you dont have your safe? you cant go out and buy your guns until the safe arrives then.. ATB Adam
  12. Dose seem stupid that there isnt a clear ruling on it as im sure many police forces have encountered the issue, just have to consider yourself lucky if your in an area that lets you use the cal for foxes
  13. I come under Cambridgeshire for licencing and the fao there said 22lr was not classed as a suitable rifle for fox in the sense that if you put fox down as a reason for owning a 22lr they will not allow it, however he also told me that if you happen to take a fox whilst out 'vermin shooting' that wouldn't be an issue as it would be unreasonable to carry 2 rifles round with you 1 for just in case a fox turns up. 14. They are very simple mate but if you don't know what to do don't do it yourself as they must be carried out by a competent person - that's why the insurance company will send and assessor out. The assessor will then (or should if he is any good) come and speak to you and ask you a few questions and he will decide on the hazards and the risk involved with your activities and whether any control measures need to be in place, such as if your alone working in the site a method of communication with others or a checking in system in case you get injured or even just warning signs to say your in
  15. There alright, my old man uses one, better off with an AAs410 ATB Adam
  16. No you cant sell... but that's not what you need to be worried about, you need to contact your firearms team as your licence has expired you are illegally holding firearms in the eyes of the law ATB Adam
  17. Sorry guys cant make that one Good Luck ATB Adam
  18. Mine shoots H&N FTT really well ATB Adam
  19. If you want him to learn to be a good shot id say get him a springer, its harder to master but once he does he will be a cracking shot for when he wants to have a go with your rifles ATB Adam
  20. H&N FTT always shoot well for me in the S10 ATB Adam
  21. Sounds alot like mixy and tapeworms
  22. 36yrds is the 'optimal' according to chairgun but you will find most 177 zeroed to 35yards and as Skot said it will depend on your power and pellet choices and your preference of course - but you will not go far wrong with 35 177 is a flatter shooting trajectory - take mine for example I shoot on x10 and its 14 - 41yards on a 1 mildot spread, 1/2 a mil dot above and 1/2 below my cross hairs, but the drop off is severe at further distances 75yards is about 5 mil dots for me but i never hunt at that distance only knockdown targets The wind takes greater effect the further out you shoot
  23. On the first photo I thought you had bought your dog a snack! haha She looks lovely mate ATB Adam
