  2. 177 dynamics went well through my air ranger cant think of many other lead free pellets mate Atb Adam
  3. I think pcp is quicker to learn and become proficient with, yes if your ever going to be a master at anything it takes a long time and lots of practice ATB Adam
  4. Ahh there always one.. I would imagine a .25 sub 12 is like trying to throw a brick at a rabbit 30yrds away Daz I think you stick to pcp cos of your noodle arms mate ATB Adam Known fact Girlie RAF boys have Noodle Arms and are Plastic wannabe Soldiers well you got me on that one! haha

  6. Thats a fair comment Adam mate , but is it not just evolution that we progress to tools that make the job easier , if youget my drift ? I would be the first to recomend springers to start from , but is progression not the way we generally go ? I agree with you buster mate for years I was a pcp only man and they have now become surgically precise tools, but to me it became boring with how consistent they had become to get back to your original point before this gets taken over by an accuracy debate, i think many are going back to springers to add that extra challenge to their sh
  7. Springers make you work for it, you have to actually know how to shoot and the principles of shooting to master a springer now im not saying that pcp shooters are less accurate or blah blah anything else, im just saying I get more enjoyment out of shooting my springer because it makes me work harder and the fact they recoil just makes me feel like im shooting my fac rifles so im used to it Not taking anything away from the pcps but the challenge of shooting them isnt as great as shooting a springer ATB Adam
  8. They are all just tools in your toolbox and neither is better INDIVIDUALLY than the other, they both have their strengths and weaknesses. It all depends on the task you want to perform that will decide on which is more suitable. ATB Adam
  9. 22 with mod and subs are excellent mate and would be ideal for what you want, its what i use and I can still reach out to 100m with 2.5 mil hold over so no real issue with the ranges ATB Adam
  10. There was a shooting shop near Doncaster with a similar attitude towards customers... they went bust No reason why you cant use it on a 22LR and you did right not giving that shop your cash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eLuDnl4eWQ ATB Adam
  11. Isnt 70m is a little far for an air rifle zero? even if it is 31ftlbs - most 22 rimfires are only zerod at 50m and they put out 100 ft lbs + Obviously you can zero at whatever distance you like but as already said try bringing the zero in and trying some heavier pellets ATB Adam
  12. Ill check the dates at work to see if im free and get bk to you ATB Adam
  13. Brilliant job Love to see people restoring guns that otherwise would have ended up on the heap ATB Adam
  14. When did this problem start? Because if you tell us it started after you dropped the rifle or after you had the barrel cut down we could probably work out what's wrong. Fitting the trigger kit shouldn't have aFfected it at all unless the stock screws are loose and the action moves in the stock Sounds more like a scope or mount problem, do you have another scope you can try? ATB Adam
  15. my 22 one works a treat mine has the cal stamped on the metal weight on the end ATB Adam
  16. Is it the daystate one with the recess or no recess? the new new new ones (whatever version they are) come with a cut out so you can thumb the pellets in with ease the other ones you have t jam your finger in to seat the pellet and are a pain Thats the new one ATB Adam
  17. Good shooting mate, even the best shots get it wrong from time to time but you sorted it out, don't get disheartened by it I had an attack of guilt last week, pulled off an amazing 65m head shot, kneeling unsupported and the rabbit was behind a chain link fence.. when i got up to the rabbit it was only a young kit no bigger than my hand and I had litterally blown its brains clean out that tarnished the shot a little bit and i got a bit mushy.. I thought it was a bit of a better sized rabbit (got the pic if you want to see) But i had a job to do so got to suck it up ATB
  18. You want someone to give you an exact aim point for your rifle ? ? Every rifle and scope combination will have a different point of impact, your whole set up .. rifle, scope choice, mount choice, mount height, eye relief, round choice will all effect where your round lands no one can tell you exactly where your setup is going to hit at 15 yards.. just go out and shoot a target 15 yards away and see where it hits on your scope
  19. If you don't have a hawk scope but you have some sort of mil dot scope you can still use the software its pritty decent .. Or Go out and put a piece of paper at 15 yards, shoot it and see the aim point on your scope ATB Adam
  20. The first 3 you mentioned are all excellent rifles and you will find countless reviews of each of them and I dare say you wouldn't be disappointed with any of them, all three are renowned for build quality and accuracy The Walther is a bit more like marmite, some love & some hate Best thing to do is go to a local gun dealer and give them a shoulder and get a feel for them, even give them a try if you can, that's the best way to find out. ATB Adam
  21. Cheers for that adam No problem ATB Adam
  22. For my Rimfire I just use a boresnake and a little ballistol oil How are you finding the T-bolt, I had a look at one at my local dealers but I found them to be a very small rifle ATB Adam
