  2. It was painted from this photo
  3. Painted by a local Tattoo artist for a good price
  4. Are you happy with him now I take it fella? I remember you saying he wasn't doing very well. Was he just a late starter? He has done well if I'm honest, for a first season dog anyway, he is just over two now and will be going into his second season come September and if he continues the way he is I'll be happy. He is no means a top class animal, and has his faults but he had realy started to mature this last few month That's good to hear. Hope he just keeps getting better for you. Cheers fella ?

  6. This dog isn't a bull whippet f1 he is more a lurcher X lurcher but I'd guess he is the size and weight as a first X at 22tts and around 45lb. Speed isn't an issue neither is finishing a job in quick fashion, I think with these small bull type lurchers to get a good one killing lots of foxes (we are talking before the ban) technique comes into play more than size and weight.
  7. he's smart mate what's in his mix? Just lurcher to lurcher pal
  8. one of mine, a fantastic little dog that has caught a hell a lot of rabbits for me over the years. and long may it continue. I've noticed that he runs a lot smarter these days unlike when he was a young dog flat out all the time.
  9. ive been with Jacob last few Sunday's and met Troy too. Smart animal, my type for sure. It's a smart animal for sure, Jacob seems to be a sound lad and he puts some graft I front of his dogs. That Troy is a specimen of his own I'v never seen it work but talking to Jacob it's a tool and it looks the part aswell
  10. Black and Tan is saluki collie grey to a beddy whippet I then put him to a beddy bull whip grey that my pal bred
  11. Cheers he's been a very good dog for me over the years, taught me a lot aswell
  12. A little snap of my two (father and son) on a little walk the other day. Was nice to be out for a change instead of at work. Not that long away and we be back out filling the game bag and controlling vermin instead of sticking to foot paths and passing every Tom dick and Harry out walking
  13. If a dog has a few other breeds in the mix then who knows what you will get father Black and Tan 21tts his son is the other dog 22tts, like I said few breeds in the mix will throw anyway
  14. I work 4 on 4 off 2 days then 2 night 12hour shifts and I give my dogs plenty work I lamp after my second day shift as I'm not at work till the following afternoon then after my last night shift a good mooch on the morning and just local walks on the other dats am at work then on my 4 days off I'm mooching on the day and lamping on the night, it does mess about with feeding times but then again I never feed my dogs at a certain time
  15. This dog has saluki and collie in his make up thrown more to the bull in looks and temperament and gaminess and whippet in size. As for breeding a dog so young it would have to have to be something special or a dog I thought would end up killing its self but each to there own there is no right or wrong you do what you have to do if after the breeding and pups turn out shite you can learn from this ??
  16. keep the dogs ticking over with plenty walks, I got rid of my ferrets few months back as I hardly went out with them but now I'm kinda kicking my self as I have kept ferrets since I was about 10, maybe I will get a few kits in thro the summer. Got my ratting permission so I'll be doing that once or twice a month to keep dogs ticking but also keep the farmer happy, he is keen for me to be on as much as possible. Plenty days down the beech a bit camping and I may take up fishing and messing about with the Cattys so come next season I can take a bit feather on my mooches
  17. They have great coats aswell
  18. The biggest test for a lurcher is to keep its owner happy and give a 100% every time out, prove it is worth feeding
  19. Nice boarder pal, only seen a handful work and I liked what I seen a bit slow but very steady thro cover
