    I have two lurchers that will kill rats both whippet saturated dogs the older of the two kills the most rats out of every dog we rat with even terriers but I could do with another mooching ratting dog to run in my pack I have been looking into Plummer terriers the last week or two but people ask daft money for them and there seems to be some sort of little click in the Plummer terrier world and they talk a lot of shit so I have found

    Got a dog here with both beddy and bull in him, useless rabbit dog not very good at catching rabbits he is fast enough but one they start turning and makeing a gap on him f**k me he screams his head off but he has other uses and so far so good but he has a lot more to prove. Ps. I don't like beddy xs and after this dog never again will I have it in any of my dogs.

    Use gain and red mills with raw but I been a bit lazy last few weeks and only fed dry, I rate them both and I usually drop on to gain 20 thro the summer as my dogs are still active down the beech and some long steady walks beside the river

    Had a little look out Friday night with mhopton on here after a bit crack Thro pm. He asked me to go on pretty short notice but I was keen to get out, chance to meet new people and see what there about. So We set off about 9 to a spot he knows the night started very slow after walking a fair few fields and crossing a road we started to see a few rabbits not loads but a few to get the dogs going and a few in the bag. We got in the car and away to the next spot where we got a few runs straight away, there was a few more rabbits about here and we bagged a few more, at this point the w

    Was out last night in it with a lad off here weather was brutal but it's still worth getting out

    A decent lurcher will catch as many any terrier, and ye don't take terriers lamping because there to small not quick enough and can tap on a lurcher has no down fall in the ratting game

    If never stopped lamping because of weather just pledge on through it, hard going for me and the dog not much game on the ground but better that sitting in the house

    Yeah my whippet type lurcher catches more rats than the terriers he is wicked on them kills them instantly

    Was thinking about this the other day my older dog is 5 now and when he was a pup a rabbit run into his shoulder and chipped the bone and caused some damage he couldn't walk on it for over 6 weeks, any way now after a long hard nights lamping he is very stiff on that leg what was injured as a pup and it is always that leg, I don't think I will retire him at all so to speak as he will always be out mooching and lamping running at his own pace but I think injures play a bit part on the Kenya jd a working dogs career.     I have been thinking about getting a cocker Spanial to bush beside my terrier now for some time but recently I landed my self a few farms for ratting. So my question is do anyone on here use a Spanial on rats or a Spanial terrier mix or am I better off with another terrier but at the same time I don't want something that will drop to ground like my Lakeland terrier has a few times now
