  1. I hope your correct.I prob get more like 28mpg.I don't ponce about on the pedal tho.ivd had it down to 4mpg pulling my 360 up a hill What you think you could get if driven carefully
  2. fuel is not the be all and end all I understand that 30s is the normal but a good remap should see the mpg heading towards late 30s early 40s if driven careful
  3. If I get two car tho it's 2 lots of tax insurance etc and the izuzu dmax is supposed to return 38mpg combined which isn't bad but then I'd also get it remapped to try and use every bit of diesel as efficient as possible. I do between a hell of a lot of miles with and without the dogs so mpg is a big factor for me but if a could get a motor remapped to return about 40-42 mpg on a run I'd be very happy. I also like the high driveing position of a big pick up or a 4x4 for that matter so there is positives and negatives but I'm going to do a lot more digging before I make up my mind
  4. It would be personal use for me, I very much doubt that I'll buy one new, I think a 10/11 plate will do me I been looking and seen a few foe 13k which is not to bad
  5. I've had land rovers l200 ranger Toyota and now the Isuzu .... And this is by far the best ....... How come you picked the blade and not the huntsman and how much would I expect to pay per month for a new truck
  6. Yeah I know izuzu make the most Diesel engines, there crew cabs look smart aswell that's one of the reasons I like them heard bad things about l200, the hilux is a nice motor but my pal used to work for Toyota said they good trucks but parts are very expensive, Great Wall is what it us a cheap and nasty motor, the vw amorock is a big show off motor and has its issues
  7. That's not to bad at all I'm seriously thinking of buying one in a few month once I sort a few things
  8. How you finding it off the Tarmac ? How much to fill the tank ?
  9. That's good with mud tyres
  10. I doubt I would be able to afford that spec but they look great trucks, I'm looking at the rodeo which was renamed dmax in the uk, what mpg you returning
  11. Obviously cost will come into it as if it's gunna cost a fortune then I'll stick with an estate, atm I don't do any off roaring but if I got a 4x4 then I would
  12. I sold my 54 plate combo van 1.7 di with full bulk head ply lined p/s side loading door with 74k miles on for £880 was a great motor for dogs but I much prefer my focus estate to it but thinking of a pick up atm
  13. I currently have a Ford Focus estate getting 50mpg and it is a decent car for the hunting side but it stinks and my partner constantly complains about it which is why I was thinking of a pick up so I can keep the dogs out the cab so there is no wet dog smell, I understand a pick up will be more expensive to run than my current car but it does have its benefits compared to my estate car
  14. Been looking at this motor the 2.5 diesel but carnt find many genuine owner reviews on this motor and engine model. Basically wanting to know what there like to drive, major issues/common problems fuel economy and running costs what is the tax on these are tyres expensive or reasonable ? I'm looking for owners personal views on them as I'm wanting a hardy motor that I can run up and down the country with a few dogs and hunting equipment in the back as well as family life as two cars is not ideal so it's gotta be able to fit into my hunting/family life. I currently own an estate but
  15. Traveled about 50 mile to a hunt I always follow on boxing day to get there all the hounds turn up the lot then hunt marster says that they not gunna hunt as its to wet so 50 mile back home, waste of a day think I'm gunna try a new hunt in the next few weeks as I enjoy following the hounds
  16. Like I said I gave two dogs and travel up and down the country to put stuff in front of my dogs one is a rabbiting dog the other is a young dog that is doing well on all sorts and personally I think they see enough and are out enough and I belive that I am getting the best out of both of them
  17. I have two runners and I think I give them enough work so I'm happy at that ?
  18. Just coz a dog is retired worker do t mean you carnt get it out for a mooch or a run down the beach but just non of them long night lamping or hard days coursing etc
  19. Think was Alimac who put me onto it a few year ago
