  5. Right so I'm going to look for a new busher to add to my pack which contains 2 lurchers and a Lakeland dog. What I'm wanting is obviously a dog to hunt all and any type of cover as I hunt all different types of cover. I'm wanting something that will hunt mainly fox to flush to waiting gun but also flush rabbits when out with the lurches. I realy like the sound of the beagle x terrier or Spanial which on paper would do what I need as I want a dog to hold a line but be trainable, something that I could have half a chance calling off a scent of the dog was to get to close to roads, I li

  9. My hunting buddy asked me if a wanted a night out at a spot he knew on the rabbits as I had been doing a fair amount with my young dog and my older dog diesel hasn't been out for weeks and isn't fit. We got there for 11:30-11:45 anyway first two fields dogs got one a peice walked s few more and the rabbits were off soon as the lamp was flicked on but managed another with my pals dog, the next few fields was like a lake at this point I'm thinking this ground is shit but a few more fields in it was one on one off. Both the dogs ran very well but we had to come back early as my pal had to be up

  16. Hunt with my pal and his dog all the time but very rare I take a photo of the pair together, so here is one. This is the half brother to my pups dam and this dog is the reason I put my dog to the bitch because I realy like this dog seen it work over 3 or 4 seasons and it is a real un put plenty gear away and can hunt as good as any. Anyway we out to night see if we can bag up hopefully there is plenty about tonight to go at. If your out stay safe and be lucky ?
  17. If I'm lamping I feed them a full meal about 12-1 and if I'm not lamping and in day shift I feed em bout half 6 after work if I'm on nights I feed them about 3 and if I'm ferreting or mooching on a morning I still feed them between 3 and 7. After lamping they get a full meal regardless of how much running was done that night. Imo I havnt noticed a difference if dogs running One of my pals had a dog that run shit on empty stomach but fed bout 5-6 hours before lamping ran class ?

  20. Had w very good start to the season my pup had a few retrieved foxes 3 in one night the other week and is running well as for my other dog he isn't very fit at the moment due to running pup a lot but I'll have him fit just after Christmas and get him out aswell but he is more of a fur and feather dog but when fit don't miss much

  23. So Friday decided to take my ferret out for a couple hours out with my diesel dog which hasn't done much this season due to me putting a lot if time into and running his son so the old lad is realy unfit and tbh I felt as if I wasn't giveing him enough attention so had a days ferreting with him useing nets on about half of the holes and the dog for the rest we netted a few dug a few and bolted a few in which the dog pulled of some great catches but also missed 2 but that was expected as he is carrying a bit weight. Last night took my young dog out on the lamp, he is starting to settle down
