Aye a closed the door not realising dog was stood there and chopped bout inch of his tail off just put his tail in some flour and sat down with him for few hours holding tail so he didn't wag it as it would have splattered blood all over. Kept eye on it for next few days and was okay and free from infection

    Cocker Spaniels

Coz I like the size of a cocker compared to a springer and I havnt seen enough to work to comment on them
  13. Next year I'll be getting a cocker spanial in to hunt flush to the runners and working with my pals birds and for knocking woods out to guns and runners. They seem to excel at the bushing game and ill be able to run them through woods with holes in without fear of dropping in like my terrier. So the point of the topic is to throw some pics up of pure cockers that you work and any info about lines etc Atb jcm

I didn't do a great deal with black dog last year but I done enough to see what he was about so this season should be a gooden for them both

The working dog lads won't charge silly money mate but it's finding them. Few and far between where plummers are concerned. I will probably breed this bitch next year and pups won't be expensive... That's a beauty of a dog that, you're going to use another plumber or to something else for coatIf I'm breeding for myself then I would use something bigger like a spaniel X beagle or one of the purpose bred bushers. Maybe even spaniel X whippet to add a touch of leg. If I'm breeding to put decent plummers on the ground then I will use a good working Plummer. It's all ifs and buts at t
