  1. He lifted him a few times yesterday, the terrier wasn't to impressed by him. this time next year he will be starting to earn his keep, he is costing me a small fortune in food. Him and my old dog get on great and my lass loves him, there inseparable
  2. Almost 4 month old and he is putting some height/weight on. Took him out yesterday for an hour down a little river running through a wood to get his feet wet and see what he is like around water, wasn't to sure at first but once the terrier was in he was in after him. Recall is slowly comeing along but we will get there. I'v been spending a lot of time with him and had him round my pals with the Harris hawk and he doesn't bat an eye lid at it infact I could of put the Harris on his back and he wouldn't if cared. Only took the one photo as he wouldn't stay still
  3. Alright mate yeah I'm doing great so is diesel, only had him out 3 or 4 times this season but he is getting fitter and running better and my freezer is almost full already so no complaining from me? I liked that blade when I seen him run he's a handy little dog. I'll have to have another night out with you this season, was a decent night out but the weather wasn't the best if you can remember lol
  4. Cheers fella, not spoke in a while how's your dogs getting on mate
  5. Cheers lads a good little start to the season for diesel, not long and he be in top nick and I'll give him some bigger longer nights out.
  6. I enjoy lurchers keeping and working lurchers myself, but 3 pups!! I mean you sound as if you have just started out in this game asking these type of questions. I wouldn't even try to fetch 3 pups on you will never have the work for three dogs and never get the best out of them. You will favour one pup and the other 2 will go to waste.
  7. Had a walk out local with diesel. No wind no cloud cover but it is my change over shift and the dog needs a few more little nights out to sharpen him and to get his fitness to where I want him. I gave him 11 runs catching 9 which isn't to bad for where I was running him and I'm not shy of the big long slips either ?
  8. So you have 3 pups on ?? Are these your first dogs, why anyone would want 3 pups is beyond me. One pup is hard work even for the most experienced dog man but 3 ?
  9. ideal mate, keep at it. its a great feeling startingvyoung dogs off, hopefully by the end of the season you will know what you have got and see that the hard work has payed off
  10. Been up there a few times with the dogs, abit of a travel for me but worth it
  11. Charlie chaser on hear has one, it's seen some graft. As for heart you couldn't question it it's as game as you can get
  12. Very nice that mate, a lot of people to keen to get dogs running. Is it your brother with the black 3/8 5/8 bull bitch ? That is a fine animal aswell thanks, I just took advice from the lads running these types, and advice from my brother and dad. im pleased now my patience & training is paying off now.Yeah my brother has the bull bitch she's a nice one isn't she. She is possibly the nicest bitch I seen, only young tho isn't she, spoke to your bro a few times I'd like to see her progress. Not very often you see a dog and think what a dog?

Liverpool like steven says mate. Have you heard of some down Lincoln? I would like to see others. Cheers. Got few pals down Lincoln, one of them offered me a 9 month bitch pup last season. Was a first x. I wasn't in need of a busher at the time. Was the first time I ever seen or heard of this x and I thought it might of been from same litter as it's probably same age as well

Gaz are these dogs from down Lincoln way mate
  17. Pal has a half x 11 years old now and still doing his job, fantastic feet and as laid back as you have seen in kennel, total diffrent animal out in the feild tho
  18. What size did your bitch make. Very intresting miX
  19. Down to personal preference, a terrier will flush them from cover but could also follow it to ground, time to pull the spade out. A spanial would also flush what you want from cover and is less likely to go to ground. I'v got a terrier my self and my next busher will be a spanial as I'd like more control over my busher and my current busher will drop to ground when ever he gets the chance
  20. He has grown around 1 1/2 - 2 inch in two weeks mate, pain in the arse an like to spend more time in the garden ripping up my decking and makeing a mess of the garden or trying to like the ferrets to death throu the hutch. Recall is non exsistant, had him off leash yesterday on the feild some wifey walked passed and he was away with them ?? Just been and bought a load more chicken mince and tripe and I'v moved him over to gain puppy and sapling today aswell as some good milk powder to mix then put over his meal to give him some good calcium for his growing bones
  21. I'm up near Durham if you can get to me I'v got two Jill ferrets I'll sort you, both work one better than the other but both bolt rabbits
  22. Cheers for the replays lads, iv got a cat carry bud round me mothers come to think of it, I used to use it to put ferrets in when I was cleaning them out as there was so many places they could get out of the garden. I'll have to pop round and get it
  23. Own ppsg and ppmg and if I'm away out I'll always chose the ppmg over ppsg as it feels Better in the hand and better aiming dimps but I carnt knock the ppsg it the catty I learned to shoot with and I am a good shot with it.
  24. What do you guys put the ferrets in to travel good distances in the car etc as a carry box can be a bit cramped for them, if anyone has any pictures then even better. Atb jcm ?
