Barn owls can hover pretty well. ... Most birds can hover it is just a matter of control and ability . That the is your say how well can they do it. Watch the chaffinches sitting on a perch then they fly out grab a bug and fly back they hover for a sit second before they grab it but this is not theirain feed source so they ate not designed to do it very efficiently. Watch a bee eater or roller do the same thing and it is smooth as silk. Watch any bird landing 0n a branch and ignore hovers for the last couple of seconds

Don't see many these days. They never seem as aggressive as wasps but like the man said their sting is supposed to be really intense

I don't think it's a mammal as the head etc is still intact. Would go for bird of prey or corridor. I think birds of prey tend to pluck feathers more before eating so I will say crow but probably totally wrong ?

We get loads of buzzards and kites round here and the crows are always harassing them. Usually in pairs so it is difficult for the birds of prey to retaliate. Also the crows are very clever not to put themselves in a vulnerable position. I think they are more manoeuvrable too. We have a pair of ravens which nest in the valley behind my office and they do the same to kites and buzzards. As you can imagine they leave sharpish as soon as the ravens appear. Ravens are really powerful birds not to be trifled with. I once saw a pair nearly killed a buzzard along cheddar gorge kept forcing it onto th

Well how about setting an example and at least giving the home grown terrorists another perspective to think about.... Some of the bomber's accomplices are in custody so how about a spot of water boarding followed by some public executions. If they know their friends and family are getting some treatment after the event might be a bit of a deterrent

I am really pleased the dog got home. We very rarely hear how these dogs get recovered which is a real shame as this knowledge could help a Lot of other people

Lol at wilful and gnash ☺ In days gone by there were some proper maniacs down cold blow Lane but then just about every club had some of them. Yes there were all the stories late 70s early 80s of West ham fans being thrown under tube trains at new cross station or having their heads cut off with glass pulled out of window frames but these are just myths. Millwall fans are no better nor worse than any other group of supporters in all honesty

There is nothing fishy or suspicious. The picture was taken in a zoo by a friend of mine. I never said it wasn't !people are very quick to try to discredit things without even making themselves aware of the information available! I just wondered if people would be able to tell what it was that's all☺
