  1. Anybody got the link to the petition?? I hope this goes as far as possible - fecking outrageous.
  2. Welcome to the forum Ed, nice to have folk like you on board. . Look forward to hearing of your experiences. Do you use dogs as well as guns??
  3. Runem you blaggard look what you've gone and done, brought the thread to standstill! Come on find that tape measure, don't let the humble pie go cold. . Haha
  4. Feel free to comment by all means, skepticism is healthy, at the right time. . That's not the issue, if I were to call you Mattybullshite I wouldn't think you'd take too kindly to that? No need for it mate. . Anyway, as I said, welcome to the forum. ATB
  5. Mattybullx, welcome to the the forum matey, nice to have you on board, but for goodness sake wind your neck in a bit already. . Disrespecting established members is not cool coming from a "newbie" providing you are new to THL that is. . You may well be right, I doubt the dog is as big as stated, but who gives a monkeys?!? Nobody. ATB
  6. Selling for a friend. Well built lure, 500 + yards of line. Original used for Greyhounds. Good condition. £100 + P&P Alternively pick up from West-Super-Mare or can meet at the welsh game fair Sunday 15th. Thanks for looking.
  7. Two of mine, both over 26"tts. Some great looking dogs on this thread.
  8. Well I'm not colourful enough to get warning points. . But I'd like to know what the gold the stars are next your profile picture on your profile page???
  9. Sunday, without doubt as that's when the terrier and lurcher show is on.
  10. My friends bitch does it and she's predominately SALUKI !! No collie, she's all running, I kid you not. . It's not something I see as a fault at all, but I certainly don't like it. I prefer to see a no hesitation 110% kamikaze like commitment to the task at hand, it doesn't always pay off though, in fact I think slower is generally better than faster when it comes to dog up against a squatting rabbit. . Just prefer the no nonsense type of hound .
  11. As said, re-establish the recall. It's great to see a dog use the nose to kick up quarry. But as for running off ignoring the recall, that's a cardinal sin. Back to basics
  12. Saturday or Sunday the better day for dogs? Or not much difference??
  13. Pointless jargon morton. The man is asking if the dog can be of any use to his lamping and ferreting expeditions, not how well he can train it. Assuming the dog is trained to basic obedience, merely break him to ferrets, show him the lamp like you would any other dog and who knows, he might be of good use. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
  14. Hmmm I wouldn't know, I believe those boys out there have been doing it long before cameras and such. . If even if those wolves were bagged before hand, a couple had a good go back. . With the mountainous terrains out, seems plausible to me to ride over a brow, see and "slip" . . I wouldn't argue the point with you, I'm only speaking on what I can see. ATB
  15. No worries, it's one of those videos you think everyone has seen. . But yeah, powerful birds!
  16. I know a harris is no eagle, but neither is fox a wolf. . I'm not familiar with the hawk so couldn't say. .
  17. The best dog I've owned is one of my current pack. Whether that's down to his genetics or due or the fact that I know more now than I did before, I don't really know. . But as mentioned, you can only do the best with what you've got
  18. What an amazing guy indeed! Bravo that man, what an admirable attitude. . Unbelievable.
  19. I don't let my pups off the lead around other dogs until past a year old, playing with other dogs is far more appealing than listening to you! I'm sure there are other methods, but keeping them on the lead works for me
  20. Hmmm. . Can't you get a pic up? I expect Skycat will see your post before long, she might be of some help to you
  21. My dog was balding around the outa thigh of the back leg, rubbed some camrosa ointment in, growing back nicely.
  22. Welcome to the forum GG. Always nice to have enthusiasts like yourself. How are your dogs bred?
  23. The biggest for me was when someone I know well (Scott Dann) fought Howard Eastman for the European title. . Carl Froch was on the undercard that night if I remember rightly. . Minuscule compared to Calzaghe v Kessler!
  24. I like the look of AJ, big, strong, fast (for a heavyweight) good puncher. . But much like David Price, we're not going to know what he's made of until he's tested, whether that means a good shot on the chin or taken a few fast pace rounds. . Promising kid, won't be long until he's mixing it with the best of Britain, look forward to seeing how he gets on.
