  1. Sorry to all others interested, The dog has gone to CB on a trial basis, hope it all works out, just the home I was hoping to find for him. clarkybill ladies and gents, a top bloke. Thanks again.
  2. Apologies for no replies. I'll respond to all pm's once I've concluded interest from the first member who expressed interest in the dog. The dog is reserved for clarky bill as said, a public apology for the breakdown in communication on my behalf. I've left you a pm, look forward to hearing from you. Thanks
  3. Cheers clarky. Likewise. Dog reserved for the man, pending final details. Thanks
  4. Mmm I think I'll wait until I see who he picks to fight next before I pass judgment. . I can understand why he'd wanna go elsewhere, especially if he's thinking it could be his last. I've gone off this a bit if I'm honest, but too much made of it, the stoppage, the hype
  5. Cheers gents. . Pm's replied to. His feet are fine, he's in good nick. . I'll get a better photo up tomorrow.
  6. He is 25"tts, nice natured, bright, playful temperament. He's bred right, worker to worker, dew claws removed. He'll need bringing on, a bond, familiarity and a bit of time, he should make a good one. I've taken this dog off my father, he suffered a stroke and can't keep it any longer. I can't keep, as much as I'd love to, but I'm already having to whittle down my pack. He's had a couple of rabbits with my old man, nothing more. £100 To ensure a good home. I'll give a trial period. The photo doesn't do him justice (best I could get with the wind today) he's a nice looking dog
  7. Wat iz it lik [BANNED TEXT] u modz init :-) Welcome to the site Dave, you'll be glad you joined. All the best.
  8. Alright, so had a bit of an accident yesterday with my dog and mothers terrier, the terrier took a bite to his back, I treated him for shock and watched him carefully, after a couple of hours of no change, mother and sister took him down the vets, I had work. Turns out the terrier suffered a puncture through the rib cage and incured pneumothorax. The vet insisted he would need an op or he might die, sister and mother agreed to have the op done regardless of the cost, the vet qouted somewhere between £500-£1500, yeah, I know. The operation went ahead successfuly and now they are demanding £
  9. Well that took the jam out of my donut! I thought it was something a bit more interesting. . Cheers gents, a starling it is. . Thanks for confirmation paulas, you are an oracle of information!
  10. Sorry gents, I'm talking about the feathered variety. . Mother took a picture of the following bird earlier after it fell out the sky before getting up and flying off, strange I know. . Now, I'm pretty good with our native birds and most of the visitors and migrants too, but I'm not sure what this one is. . Apparently it was the size of a black bird. . So I was thinking it may belong to the thrush family? Apparently not. . Distinguished by the pointed black bill and the black with orang tipped feathers in the wing, been on this for a couple of weeks, someone put me out if my mise
  11. Whatever you do think fast and act quickly. . Time steals what you cannot take back. . As already said, behaviours are only the symptoms of the problem. . Observe, refrain, ask questions to try and uncover what the issue is. . You may need to change your approach and maybe change your perception or point if view. . All the best, keep us posted.
  12. Man alive that boy can ride, you wouldn't believe unless you seen it. . The commenters are Aussies, nice to see them behind one of our own like that. . Fair play
  13. Price is the better athlete and the more the technical fighter. . But Chisora is the harder and more gutsier of the two. . It's a "pick um" fight, evenly matched, I think I'd sway Prices' way, perhaps poke, prod and cross his way to a points, possibly mid/late stoppage win. . But if David can't hold his nerve and keep it together, Delboy will take him apart, make no mistake about it. .
  14. That's true skycat they are few and far between but they do come up I've seen it happen now they living the life of luxury, the bitch has an excellent temp good with kids livestock everything bar cats..if I had me time over I wouldn't have even started this thread lol never mind Hey all said and done, good may come from this pal. All the best
  15. Big thanks to jharrison for providing my pal with a fine stamp of a bitch. We was greeted with fine hospitality after a long drive. He accepted an offering for the bitch, but no money. Top bloke ladies and gents. . Job done.
  16. Gotta agree with Hot Meat I'm afraid. . This is the hunting life not the re-homing life, anyone who's been on here any amount of time should know that it's a wee bit unrealistic and they're probably gonna get a bit of stick for putting the ad up! BUT, saying that, it's worth a shot and of course we all hope the bitch gets a good home. . It's hard knowing what to do with your retired running dogs. . What with dog homes being full of unwanted's. . my oldest dog is not yet 4 and I'm already mindful of how I will manage his retirement. .
  17. I quite like the notion of dying whilst doing something meaningful, you know, pulling children from a fire, or something else sacrificial. . I was young, but I remember a friend of my father, I one Cayo-Evans, he predicted his own death whilst standing in his mansion' kitchen with his two black pit-bull type dogs by his side, he said "Peter, I'll die of a quiet little heart attack in my sleep and they'll carry me up the hill" died not too long after that whilst at home, was said the he'd died in his sleep and they did indeed carry and bury him in Silian, up the hill from his Mansion, Glan
  18. just think he`s an honest fighter gnash -- had his big nights just making a living these days Absolutely and good luck to him..........its just an odd situation thats all. feck knows --he`s 36 now--- just happy to get a payday .. I sincerely hope boxing is not going to start being used as a tool to make points to society the way football is these days............ie " if you work hard you can go from lifes lowest point to lifes highest point " just like Jason Booth !........... Football seems to be used as a tool to combat racism, homophobia, sexism bla bla bla..........i just cant rememb
  19. Was ringside tonight. . Fury is a tidy heavyweight, little bit right hand happy early on, knew the fight would soon end once he switched to the body. Looks promising at just 19. Good to see Lee looking fit, Booth kept him honest though, he may not have deserved the title shot, but gave a good account of himself given given his age and miles on the clock. . Had a hard time in the past, alcohol addiction I believe. .
  20. Farm animal feed that stuff...... Buy more chicken carcasses and lamb bones.....bit of veg and a bit of oily fish and you're bang on..... Cheers borderscot, Mmm might have to find an alternate supplier in that case. . ATB

  22. Mine are tattooed. . But heard stories of a dogs ear being cut off to remove
  23. Looking at changing from Skinners to CJS as it seems to be reasonably priced at £14.95 for a 15 kg bag. I pay for chicken carcass, lamb bones etc etc and can't afford to pay too much for dried any more, was paying around £30 for Skinners Superior. Looking at Sooper Dooper Champ: Composition Beef & Lamb Meal, Wheat, Chicken Meal, Maize, Chicken Fat, Chicken Liver, Unmolassed Beet Pulp, Full Fat Linseed, Alfalfa, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Yucca Schidigera Analytical Constituents Protein 28.0% Fat Content 12.0% Crude Fibre 3.0% Crude Ash 7.5% Additives Natural antioxidantsNutr
  24. Mate, anything in the classified section of THL has to be watertight, especially in the working dogs section! Discrepancies will be scrutinized! Haha. . I'm sure the baby gets thrown out with the bath water sometimes, but not often! ATB
