Sorry to hear that very unfortunate Horrible losing a dog especially one you have had from a pup and it is struck down in its prime when things are going well. But at least it was quick which is some thing and doing some thing it loved . The one I lost went into fits for 24 hours before I had to have him put down. Poor sod was curled up on my bed all night frothing at the mouth vet tried every thing

Really enjoyed watching this much better than mountain men one where they ham up the acting way too much. I really hope my dog doesn't go out in the dark after that bear so I will just open the door and let my dog go out in the dark after that bear then stand in the window looking really really worried. Not that I need worry too much because my cabin has so many lights if the bear comes with in 300 yards he will get grilled to a crisp

Thats dedication for you I love the feeling working in complete darkness though it never actually seems dark enough. I could never master it as a youngster never had the patience but now I have plenty Live stock is all ways a concern so upto date reconnaissance is vital or a call to the landowner if circumstances dictate

I think this part is bang on catching bolters is handy but doesn't really matter or wouldn't bother me anyway. Rabbits rarely leave cover for more than a yard or two around here anyway. A nice little dog could peg a netted rabbit if needs be till you get a grip on it

I made this 13 meshes with a mesh size of 4.25 including the selvedge But my first net that I wasn't happy with so I didn't bother with selvedge and that was only 12 meshes and seems to catch nice any way But I think general opinion is 13-15

I use a traditional net but I was lucky to have an hours tuition which gave me the basics I then just did plenty of day time drops for practice and the rest is learning as you go. Just need to take your time and prep is every thing. Make sure the net is stowed away so you can get it out easily with no chance of a stray mesh get hooked up on the pins or on a button on your coat. Make sure you know the ground your running the net out on because a single briar strand can cause havoc trust me But I love it and I have no urge to get a quick set I would recommend this book http://www.amazon.co.u

I reckon that's the way. In the summer months I would avoid putting the dog in a position where it is going to mark unless you want to carry a ferret around and battle the cover. Last thing you want is to take the dog away from the hole at least until its experienced

Butchers all the way if possible. Buy 3 kilo of mince get one free and at a good price and good meat. Chunk of top side for about 12 quid for the family tends be the same price if not a tad cheaper than tesco and so much better. Some chunks of beef shin nice and cheap for casseroles or ox tail for slow cooking. Only thing our butcher is pricey on is chickens so get them from aldi

Thats very true the cost soon mounts especially if using containers and need to get compost in. But the spuds I grew for the first time a couple of years ago I haven't tasted spuds that good since I was a kid and we grew our own stuff then. They caught me out too because they cooked in a few minutes not like the ones you buy that need boiling for a day and half to get tender

Just curious does any one with a Bro Myrddin House have more that one dog ? Been reading there bumf and it says they have a policy like the council of one dog only. I was thinking of seeing if they would let me house one out side we have a nice concrete back yard.
