  5. Sounds very nice thanks for taking the time to put that up. Not has pheasant yet this year still waiting for them to drift up from the local shoot
  6. Agreed! It was scary to me that they were willing to offer so much! Easy to see how some people can get so easily duped tho! Fair enough sittin speakin' with the guy, all smiles and roses, but, You buy a £200k house... It's no bungalow, so it needs heating...more heating than you may have been struggling to pay before. It has more lights that will get left on... Bigger floors, which need bigger carpets... Bigger spaces, which need bigger / more furniture....... It's quite possibly in a 'fancier' area, so, you obviously then need the 'fancier' car to sit outside... Which then drink

  9. cheers for the pointers I will give them a try all ways handy to bit of input
  10. Thanks Andrew all ways good to be out Yes he is broke to ferrets he doesn't have a killer instinct about him so that was quite easy to do. He is a bit of a handful house dog to ferreting dog has been a bit of a change to him. But he loves it so no going back now. Managed to get him sitting still while I netted up at the weekend even if he made a racket while I was doing it. Any ferreting dog is better than no ferreting dog at least thats what I keep telling my self I don't like going with out him now as any sort of indication if some thing is home is helpful
  11. tiercel's recipie for the stuffed rabbit was the best I have tasted I demolished the wrong thing my self very nearly. I like the sound of using that lamb stock wilbur will have to try it
  12. Brilliant that's the age for them to be out with the ferrets especially one on one time like that
  13. good video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6ud68Qmdyc or just google it. Mine looked nothing like that but it dont matter it comes tidy once rolled and tied up. Once cooked mine looked like this and was very nice

  16. Thats great day and 8 more than me to day . Sounds like you have to work hard for your rabbits as a rule. The harder it is the more of a buzz you get can't beat it
  17. I was beginning to wonder where you put them all
  18. Mine was a tad over 14 inches 20 years ago and managed fine he even got to some in a rabbit warren even if you had to dig on a foot or two. But as donny says they can't get where it is just physically impossible
  19. Took the wifes dog again this morning hopefully the more I can get him ferreting the more he will twig. First farm the farmer was out so off to the next. Had the dog on his long lead showed him few holes along the bottom of a wood. Then at the top I spotted a rabbit creeping along through the brambles followed by another then another. Took the dog up and he caught the scent started towing me along until we came to a set of holes in a hedge corner. He took plenty of interest in a couple of the holes so tied him to the shovel and got netting. Popped the ferret in very quiet apart from the spani
  20. Shame it couldn't be archived some where even as read only some really good information on there shame to lose it
  21. Thats great must be nice to have that pair to add to the freezer
  22. I have one he is about 7 years old now and spent 6 of that as house dog but I have started taking him ferreting hopefully just to mark. He is show bred but still has plenty of hunting instinct about him. I keep him on a long lead other because his marks so far are a bit vague before he just moves on at 100 mph. But on the lead he slows down and its up to me to spot when he marks. I thought I was wasting my time but this weekend I was quite chuffed. If he had been trained from a pup properly I think he would have been really good. Also great in the house can't fault him there
  23. Well I copied you today Gaz and very nice too the wife and kids opted for a mc donalds though shame on them ! Keep the recipes coming
