  1. Well its all dig dig at the moment knackered Some peas put in yesterday Mountain of weeds off the new plot nearly finished digging the spud patch Started putting few rows in with plenty of horse muck Got the plastic cold frame in place and some lettuce sown netting off the broadbeans

  4. What you going to start in the baths jj ? They make an ideal seed bed filled like that high out the way and easy to cover I have a spare bath down the plot. I showed my inexperience today I couldn't help my self and planted a short row of earlies. Layed some horse manure in the trench then a layer of dry compost from my bin and sat them in that. Worst that can happen is it costs me a dozen seed spuds I will make sure they are kept earthed up when any frosts are about and the netting will help. Picked some more cabbage and leeks made a good leek and potato soup when I got back

  6. new venue will be good plus they got parachute guys in so spent a few quid so should be good day. Last year was bit poor but they have stepped it up
  7. Yea that sounds about right walked miles out all day. Get home starving and dying of thirst and polish off two plates of grans stew in record time. Drank water out of a cattle trough one day was so thirsty not the best idea was sick as a dog for few days

  12. Thats good then mine was good ferreting and would stick at fox so you never new how the day was going to end up which could be a pain some days. Yours is just going to get better and better at ferreting with experience. Loads of sport ahead for you

Wish I had stuck at it I was heading for my own shoot in north wales but I couldn't tear my self away from the grandmothers cooking all ways put my belly first Long hours and little money and a right old slog some days.   23. Yea I like it good little work horse. Sat in the shed at the mo with studded snow tyres on while I commute on another one. To be honest would be better off sitting it on a raft with the weather we have had
