One minute want to throw her out next hug the silly cow lol. Hard for her mum though she constantly worries
  2. hell of a body on a poddle was looking at one the other day under the daft coat was body of whippet all though slightly gangly one. Bright dog too
  3. Brilliant you can't beat it Mine did same other day I saw rabbit go to ground but he never marked while i netted he was hunting surrounding cover and put one up. I tried a good little jill in every single hole and nothing so it must gone straight in and out

  7. There you go nothing like yours but his coat is starting to wire up a bit 6 months now
  8. I have a pup the same cross with a touch of bull though. Very level headed as well but lots of drive
  9. Won't have no trouble selling pork presented like that looks top notch
  10. I certainly see what people are saying here and agree but out of interest do you maintain the softly softly approach when your pup shows to much interest in stock in the hope he will just grow out of it ? There seems to be a very fine balance in that area and each dog is obviously different
  11. I had rabbit chasseur last nigth. 3/4 rabbit 2 chopped red onions packet of colemans chicken chassuer and 3/4 pint water. Pop in oven for and hour and half served with mash and runners. Every thing from the garden or field apart from the colemans
  12. or some don't have the heart to put to sleep a healthy animal
  13. Got to agree with tc if you want big fish consistently you need big baits. You will blank a lot while your mate next to is yanking out schoolies on worm baits but I would rather sit tight for the bigger fish. My mate who is retired and addicted to bass fishing using razor in the first half of the season then for the later half switches more to mackerel though dead ones. His fish are for the most part in access of 4-5lb and he catches a fair few. Here is a 9.7lb on mackerel and couple of 5+ on razor he fishes small leads on a surf beach 1 to 3 oz depending on conditions and
  14. Years ago I had a dog from pup he was superb chap and I thought the world of him then I lost him to an accident one night at 2-3 years old. I thought no way can I go through all that effort and heart ache then lose another so I bought an adult and he was a cracking dog. Loyal and lovely temperament not that great during the day but I wanted a lamper and he did that well. So you can get good adults but I think good day time dogs are thin on the ground unless some one really is in the shite they are not likely to get rid
  15. cheers look forward to the pictures be interesting to see what you got
  16. Thats the ones Allan I work in town so nip round after work on my bicycle and at the weekends either cycle up or if there is shopping to be done or ferrying me kids around tie it in with that. They are producing well and after the initial clear up keeping them turned over as I go is not such a big job. Just need to keep constanting planning 6 months ahead so they are not sat empty I don't like that
  17. Well the veg keeps on coming at the moment cracking harvest this morning. I had my best ever brocolli which is called marathon harvested my squash as well sure we had a slight frost this week got some spring cabbage growing in pots at the moment and broadbeans in toilet roll tubes for over wintering
  18. good thinking good money in that too What do we call good money? well going back a dam good few years it was quite easy to make 70- a day and that was a pretty short day cause I all ways went home once decent days money was earned much to my bosses disgust . But I did used to just crack on But now a days no clue what the money is but I wouldn't call it hard as long as you are used to out doors and don't mind the weather but that applies to lots jobs. Could get bit monotonous day in day out though but if moneys right We never did it full time just week here and there when we w
  19. Great stuff least you have the winter to get it ready though if it was me I would soon turn over a few feet and nip the garden centre for half dozen plant. Oh and sow a few broad beans
  20. Sounds like tree felling but we didn't stop for frost or snow as long as we could get in and out
  21. Well let me take a guess at this if I was going to net a hare I would be doing it on a gateway. I wouldn't worry about using rabbit size mesh but you would need enough slack net height wise to ball it up. I suspect if a hare hit a normal height rabbit net it would just cart wheel straight over it.So this net would basically be a high stop net in which case if it was high enough for the job would be a bit wasted when rabbiting Just my thoughts on it
  22. according to the link above he was suffering from a mental instability
  23. would have thought some one would have thrown a bin at it or some thing or at least make some attempt
  24. Eagerness to please I think and it thinks its what you want. Not sure about the second part
