  1. non existent the main reason being his all ways been possessive over stuff so taken nearly two years to get over that it will come in the end. Having success with the dummy he knows what fetch means and over time I can layer stuff onto that. I could have just given up I am not really bothered but I do enjoy doing things with him so just some thing I am doing
  2. yes that's the plan king but with this fella its gently gently his only just started to except the dummy in his chops of his own accord after about 6 weeks lol. As you say down the road add fur then maybe slip in a feather. Be interested to see how he reacts to a runner if it turns around it could probably chase him at the moment
  3. Got the week off and typically too wet for the allotment at the moment so just trying to do few other bits. Love eating pigeon so thought we would check out a couple of fields. Only took 3 decoys save lugging gear and one landed in the tree above me. Took him out and he ht the floor with a thud. The dog was raring to go because when he was confined to his lead with his injury I took him out with the gun and shot a rabbit just to keep him sane so he could get some warm fur in his chops. Every since when he hears the bang he thinks great rabbit though after this mornings shooting he now knows a

  15. Walking the dog tonight through the dunes there seemed to be lots of scent about mostly rabbits I imagined He was working the cover a treat keeping close and looking at me to help with a bit of beating then there was definitely some thing close going in for the strike then crash bang wallop followed by a little squeal. Next he comes trotting out with this little sod I was well chuffed any way it was well hunted and caught and great fun to watch him do his thing on a nice little walk We continued along and I
  16. Looks about perfect for an all round rabbiting, shooting companion
  17. you need to get him around ferrets more safely there is no room for confusion ferrets are a no and rabbits I am sure he doesn't need encouraging anyway. You can practice recall lots in the house on a lead any where and when out and about recall when you know he will come. Don't waste your time calling if his blasting off to see another dog you need to get it on a lead before that happens. Don't ever call him if you know his not going to come like when his heads down on a scent. Don't let him do what he wants. Not that I have a clue really just stuff I have picked up and been taught with mine.
