So, Tell Us, What Are Ye All At In The Veg Garden?

not an allotment I know but I find it interesting. Local farmers spuds they went in really late or so I thought and just took off. Been sprayed a couple of times for blight I assume and the ground is covered in blue pellets which I guess is fertiliser. Also has field of beans and peas looking equally as lush. Quite funny how some one can get acres of some thing looking so good yet I struggle with a 6 foot row -
Just to add a bit of variety on our walk tonight i popped a 25 yarder in the bag. Kept the dog close and we snuck along the field edge to a gap leading through into a rough patch dotted with clumps of cover. All most straight away the dog started pointing and froze so I whipped out the net and started trying unsuccessfully to get the bottom line low to the floor after a bit of a kerfuffle it just wasn't going to happen and only had four pegs with me plus didn't have time to trample the grass as the rabbits here tend to leg it the other side if your not quick. The dog by now was cir

Very bad do indeed and pointless. Could just throw them a pelt if they felt the need

Could it have been a black Maine coon cat mate? Some of them are 25lb plus and look pretty "exotic". Not saying it was but check them out. I would say no Gaz but couldn't be a 100% about it. Wish I had the gopro on the bars at the time

i notice no ones mentioned the welsh game fair this year

As said the longer you take the worse it gets and a high mag scope don't help at all. I got essential tremor apparently nearly knocked myself out with me binoculars the other night

mine was legit lol though I had just climbed bit of a hill on the bike so maybe it oxygen deprivation . Literally just rested on the handle bars to get me wind back and coasted round the corner looked up and it was crossing the road in front of me. A good twice the size of your normal cat. Black obviously tufted ears and I think a short tail. pretty stocky. Took me eyes off for a second to sort me self out on the bike looked back up and it had gone into the forestry. This particular forestry I had actually done a lot of work in the past and never seen any thing. Also done a lot of lampin

very very good -
I have no shame in this instance I needed him to check some holes in the hedge and there was only a small gap between the top of the fence and the trees. As you can see he was thinking what the hell is he doing there was no safe way for him to hop in nice mark and a couple of bunnies in the bag every one happy he has taken to bouncing over fences a lot of late when in pursuit but if he hesitates for a second I can mostly hold him on a wait command which is very handy I don't ask him to jump much I have no problem lobbing him over as we have perfected the

Looking grand jok. I see you have the nasturtiums on the go for the carrot fly ? Started my new spuds but they are well slugged this year. Last year hardly a hole but this year well drilled. I think the variety seems to be the key. Tried maris bard this year but last year grew Duke of York and they were fine though poor yield. Getting poor yield this year as well due to my impatience and the frosts anyway . I bet when I get on too my second early which are kestrel they will be fine slug wise as they seem resistant to a degree . On the plus side I have a row or two of onions doing grand n -
Wrong, the only terrier purposely bred as an all rounder was the plummer, look at the breeds in its make up, as for your retrieving question well all dogs can be taught to retrieve, starts with any soft toy in the garden as a pup and developed from there, I bought a good friend of mine a patterdale off a hard well known digging dog in Liverpool, my mate used to be the secretary of a working gun dog club and although a bit hard mouthed loved a day shooting/retrieving, a bit of brain and patience on both sides will do it, a good Plummer works anything you care to teach it,very intelligent and thr

If you put it on a dog especially one thats going to give it welly the footage will be jiggly as hell. Saying that the chest harness with a gopro fits a dog depending on size and I briefly tried on mine and it wasn't too bad but he wasn't up to much just waddled along as if to say taking this off me you prat

Made some Rhubarb cordial tonight a big hit with every one so a nice use of it espeacially the older stalks http://www.saga.co.uk/magazine/food/drink/rhubarb-cordial-recipe -
no he wasn't that round more of a semicircle but in fairness I never attempted to train him to do such. But he had a lot going for him Never forget the way if he marked out of site he would let me know where he was. Then the nack of driving bullocks back out the way if we were ferreting unless he sensed they weren't going to back off then he nipped the other side of the hedge and worked it from there
