  8. Looking good Terry, there is something about picking your own that is at the heart of all gardening. The broad beans look like the could be Aquadulce? TC turns out they are witkiem A fast-growing, quick-maturing broad bean, producing a good harvest of short, well-filled pods. The beans have a high tannin content, giving them particularly good taste. For spring sowing. The earliest maturing spring sown broad bean Heavy yields of short pods Beans have a high tannin content which gives a good flavour

  11. Got a lot of rats in our roof space in work so have a few traps up there. manged to catch a couple of big ones but catching loads of little ones and they are all ways eaten so the adults are not far away but they must be bloody crafty and just sit there looking at the traps. Any tips ?
  12. Looks and sounds and ideal cross to me and designed for a bit of ferreting and day time bushing. Able to polish a few off in the lamp as well I would imagine. Nothing not like really
  13. Slightly different circumstances to yours but I bought a young jill in last year and my old jill hammered her good and gave her a few scars so had to separate. You expect a bit of a ruffle but the old girl was really going for it. So I swapped them around in the hutches every day for a week or two and that worked a treat. Got on great after that. Saw it mentioned on here

  15. Cheers Allan I normally grow Aquadulce but found them a bit bitter some times even when quite young. These are some thing different from the garden centre so I will pop in ask them as they have a really nice flavour even the daughters said they were nice
  16. No grapes here mate unfortunately Started my broadbeans now need to find the variety because they are really tasty this is what happens when you plant spuds too soon and they get frosted luckily planted some at the right time too gooseberries on the floor and they are not ripe so maybe birds bouncing on the net and a few bits with some big cabbage coming on
  17. Seeing the dog in action you can see the benefits of a gun dog in there rather than a collie

  23. They need feeding, housing, meds, cleaning, walking, educating, training etc.etc.etc.Ill warrant it needed more input than you may realise. They need shaping and fashioning long before they are suited to work. What I meant was from the word go he wanted to hunt and hunt well. His a natural due to his breeding I guess. Obviously you need to mould things to what you require I knew what you meant,i believed you needed reminding about the input you had on the mutts capability once entered. I agree with this. You're selling yourself short Terry. He might have been born with hunting instinct but tha
