  1. Well Craig you worded it like saying I was incorrect!. If you had read some of my earlier posts I have often also advised to use shims made from plastic milk cartons. As for Timmy saying use film negatives How many people have such stuff in their possesion?? nobody I know! all the cameras I have are digital. as for timmy perhaps he dosent know that most scopes and mounts are made of....Guess what? Aluminium. So perhaps he should (to use his own words)---To get his bloody facts right.
  2. Most soft drink cans are made of aluminium so will not corrode get your facts right.
  3. All the Stoeger Suppressor models do indeed have considerable barrel droop.so do as Tim advised. if you need to pack the rear mount then I find strips cut from a Coke can are excellent, Good luck.
  4. ! Mike92, you dont say what parts or if you are thinking about all the body of the pigeon you want to eat. my mate only eats the breasts of the pigeon he slits the breast cavity on birds we shoot and squeezes the breasts out, the rest we leave in the fields for the few Buzzards that seem to know when theres going to be a easy meal about.. as said by others dont try to eat ferrals, theres not enough meat on them anyway.
  5. You can leave it fully charged with no problems dont leave it in a hot location next to a stove or radiator.which could raise the pressure.
  6. Thanks Bud, Nice to see a polite new member on here who is good about replying to members who try to help out. Welcome to the site
  7. The poster dosent say what model AA410 he has? If you have the Classic the air cylinder has -- 216CC capacity. If you have the Carbine the air cylinder has --156CC capacity. Depending on which model you have one gives more shots than the otherAs Davey has said about 90 to 100 in the Classic and less in the Carbine.
  8. Prestige (Midlands Company) introduced these rifles not a long time ago, Made in South Korea by Evanix who allso made the identical Webley Sidewinder sold to dealers for about ? If my memory serves me right £300.00 quid! those gunshops then sold them for £650.00 Plus!!!. a lot had air leaking problems which spelt the death knell for the company, shame really if it was sold for about £450.00 and had been assembled by people who knew what they was doing the gun had a lot of promise the Far east Walnut stocks was a brilliant design but the wood was extremely brittle and cracked easi
  9. Arh, you arent new to shooting then? sorry Bud I withdraw my sugestion that its not really the scope for a airgun.

  12. Hiya Phil, Sorry I cant comment on the Gamo model you ask about but here in the UK non FAC air weapons are limited to sub 12 ft-lbs energy rated guns you would be better informed on your rifles specifications by googling for the details. there are many excellent air weapon forums in the USA filled with tips about hunting and tuning the dozens of airgun makes available there. In closing any modern air rifle is good enough to kill squirrels provide they are hit in the head or lung/ heart within 25 yards. Good luck. EDIT, II have just googled Gamo 440 hunter rev
  13. Check your breech seal first, or it could be the minus temperatures could be thickening the lubrication inside creating drag.
  14. I have asked one of the mods to remove this thread thanks again.
  15. You will quickly find that your 4X20 scope isnt going to be up for the job. Some of those Chinese rifles are powerful enough to dispatch rabbits and wood pigeons and other pests, get on Ebay and get yourself a better scope and mounts, Wellcome to the forum Bud,

  19. Hiya bud, believe me I have worked on dozens of the AA 400/410 range rifles and have come across the same problem you are experiencing Some of the earlier hammers was lubricated with a grease that seemed to act like glue when not used for some time, If you dont feel confident to remove the magazine assembley(Only 3 screws) plus the 6 screws holding the complete breech assembly and barrel then take it to your nearest gunshop.
  20. Its a .20calibre they are talking about.
