Hey bwfc make sure it hasnt cocked the trigger by dieseling after a strip relube job? often happens on early webley springers after a strip/tune try tripping the trigger first see if it clicks if so cock the rifle again and see if its OK again. if it does it again then follow the above procedure untill the dieseling has gone. -

Prestige guns were made in South Korea by the company now making the semi auto air rifles shown on you tube. They also made the Webley Sidewinder which was much better than the Turkish Webley copies of the original PC models.... What killed off Prestige was their UK rifles had a poor record of holding air in the cylinders which meant that owners got P****D off awaiting repairs. their lovely thumbhole stocks used to split when subjected to any kind of stress.

You havent said what calibre you have but if its a MK1 then you dont need the indexing pin if you are using the latest blue or red mags.If you have a MK 2 then the indexing mechanism should not be there. all mag indexing is done by the mag itself on the red or blue ones. If its a coloured mag then its probally set up of the Mag.

That magazine retaining rod has a tiny retention locking ball bearing and spring the bearing is easily lost when parting the top half of the action from the lower half. Can you feel the bearing indexing into place when operating after the magazine is put into place?
