    That's the kicker for me pal. Need the date firmed up pronto..(work). I think it's normally the one before the bank holiday in August, but it could be one after...shit memory me, just know it wasn't a bank holiday weekend ...in August.

    When I was learning to be a butcher the brains were in demand with the old folks, on toast apparently... The key to getting them out of the head complete with no skull splinters, was to turn the head jaw facing up and hit it dead center of the cavity, anything other than a direct straight chop would result in brain splatter, on you, your workmates, the shop or at worse the customer..soon got me chopping straight...

    I use direct line. Never claimed yet but come recommended, they pay the vet direct i believe which saves shelling out then claiming back. As with most insurance its all about the small print. Some of the cheaper plans have caps on how much you can claim per condition per year and hefty excess fees. I learnt the hard way last year exactly how costly vets can be for a serious viral infection in a terrier. Never again .

    FFs kev, I'm pissing myself here. 1 because you can tell a tell a story 2 because I know exactly where your coming from.... Got my 2 front ones on a plate, had a fall for one, blind sided with a side winder for the second. Genetics definitely play a part with gum disease, mine an bro's are both fooked, like the old man. Mom an sis all good. Just got back from a weekend in Worcester with a new "squeeze"....didn't have the bollox to whip em out an drop in the steradent glass just yet...lol
