    ha ha lol sounds fun where is it ? cornwall / devon next year, a great weekend in all honesty. top group of lads that attend, bit of fishing, plenty of craic and gotta be in the region of around £5k (maybe more) raised over the 3 years raised for charity / good causes so far. it needs you.....lol

    I noticed you stayed out of it till someone answered because you didn't know. Now we both know. Lol I was brought up 100 meters from the river Tawe one of the best salmon rivers in Wales I've caught them with nets snare hands and rod, there's been lots of times where I had to have a shower in my old girls house because the bath was full of ice and salmon lol ... Salmon paste is the killer for salmon ... and not the stuff you spread on your sandwiches walshie lol ...... What would the tray be for then Ken in the post above? I'm intrigued... Genuine question, pm if you can be arsed ! Lol

    Try the alpkit gamma, in fact any alpkit gear, well made for hardish outdoor use, reasonable prices for good quality. They have a good website for lots of outdoor gear. I've had some half decent gear out of aldi, just a pain the arse to complain / return if the goods ain't up to scratch or fail prematurely.

    Can be deadly approach freelining meat on small rivers for barbel and chubb, just letting it roll round with the flow that naturally creates the bow in the main line

    I've picked up a hatsan 900 x for a mate, he's 1st air rifle. Only gonna be used for plinking on the garden and the odd Maggie / pigeon that keep shitting on his conservatory. Is there a basic half decent scope I could get him for under 30£ or am I being unrealistic? Cheers
