  1. i was expecting paracord, slightly disapointing...lol
  2. counting steps on flights of stairs, especially places where i walk often, home, work.... and flushing the toilet before i've finished my piss, its a new one this, end up having to wait for the cistern to fill back up and finish the piss flush

    Canoes

there's a website called "Songofthepaddle", you'll find all you need to know on there, the forum is spot on. there's a section called blogs, which is basically trip reports, you wont need any other advice after a few hours on there.
  6. i've got one with black and green handle, they make all sorts of colours, but as has been said, brighter is definately easier to spot when you've put it down though.
  7. have you tried UKcampsite search function ? search for pretty much any style of campsite you can think of, all over the country, by distance, all sorts. the reviews are generally a decent enough barometer, as long as you filter out the obvious biased ones, read a good few of them to get a feel for the place....
  8. there's one just outside mevagissy called pentywyn. think its about 15 quid a night, there's a cracking lake on site, carp, perch, roach, rudd, trout, well established lake not some dirty puddle. fishing off the harbour wall aint bad in mevagissy either, plenty of coast and bays to go at within 20 min drive. you can have camp fires (raised off the ground, they have firepits you can lend i think). its on a working farm and they encourage you to take the mutts in the surrounding fields / woods for walks, i've bumped into all sorts.... really relaxed owners too....
  9. there's a whole thread of them on here somwhere, the for sale section i think under miscelanious maybe, its a pinned thread (at the very top of page). he's got a website an all, aint sure of the address. from all accounts though he's a pretty reasonable lad and wont sell you somthing that he dont think works, PM him and then drop him a bell.
  10. great knives these, thats a fair price delivered an all.
  11. thats a belter Gin, what wood have you used for the handle?
  12. i used to use 1 of these when i was retail butcher, really good bits of kit. you just need to be carefull not get carried away by over sharpening, it literally takes seconds to get your edge and then a polish with a steel and its shave sharp knife.
  13. Anyone ever been? mates called me this morning he's got some spare tickets for the weekend, think i'm gonna head over in the morning. just wandered if anyone had been and could give me the heads up on what to expect, apart from big trucks....lol
  14. can you remember the nos gallan midnight race --wonder if its still going I remember it mate, never did it. I always wanted to do the man v horse race but never got round to it, one of my regrets. I did loads of races though, did the Robin Hood , Rutland water, did one along Offa's dyke, started at Hay on wye, that was a good one. I won a 10k on Cannock chase once, in 32 mins , I remember it because the trophy was awful, all my mates took the piss, it had an angel at one end of a wooden plinth and a kids trainer! at the other end. welcome to Wolverhampton
  15. as much as it boils the piss, you did exactly the right thing, huntings on the back foot in this country as we all know, best not to add fuel to anyone's fire. i'd make a point of getting in his personal space next time you see him at the hunt, give the "good morning how are you?", kill em with kindness.
  16. As above, a friend has a mole causing a fair bit of damage to her newly laid lawn. she believes its just the one, but as i have no practical knowledge of moles, or the kit, she's asked if i could try and get a number of a local pest controller. PM or register intrest here and 'ill get back to you. thanks

wrong on many levels, but very f'kin funny
  18. i think there's 1 in anglesea called lyn-y-gors that fits the bill
  19. thats exactly the kind of outfit i want to get me started..., cant justify the time or fuel though from Wolverhampton. if you get no better offers i'll pay the full asking price and postage.
  20. thats exactly how they had mine and a good few of the locals from the surounding area, cost the garage owner a new set of windows , that was all mind, he blamed the whole thing on hired help claiming he had no knowledge, thing that sticks in the troat is the place is alive with cameras, he'd soon known if they'd been dipping the till.....
  21. they are a serious pest now in many areas. problem is they look too cute and they've been humanised in too many cartoons, as ridiculous as that sounds. they're still trying to get a parlimant approved cull off the ground.
