  3. give the youngster half a chance by get it ratting and a full season on the bunnys ,this will learn how to take its quarry, depending on its breeding and how mentally its matured then step up its quarry ,yes cubs would be ideal but not always available but the main thing is don't ruin the dog ,if fox is going to be a regular thing maybe trap one in a live trap and see if it reacts to it if not it probably wont be ready too many jackers have been passed on and dogs ruined by INCOMPETANT owners ,common sense is the key but get the dogs mouthing ,striking and field sense up to scratch and c

  25. hi all my experience was zilch and went lamping with a keeper ,i think it depends on the police force ,mine in north yorkshire gave me an open ticket straight away and also the correct wording on your aplication helps ,i was told by 2 fac holders to state and write "the rifle to be used for fox and deer and for zeroing on ranges or land ,over which the holder has LAWFUL AUTHORITY TO SHOOT over any estate , this provides you with an open ticket as long as you have authority to do so ,the police force have to give you a reason NOT to warrant an open ticket as you are entitled to use your rifl
