  16. they will probably be more working deerhounds and deerhound x's working than you think ,its just that they are'nt going to tell all ad sundry what they get up to ,alot of hunters keep themselves to themselves and dont have to explain to us on the forum ???
  17. i usually get the hi sex pullets (battery type)but @pol from a reputable breeder and they are really good for beginners, like the others said for 2 yrs max and when they go thru the moult its hard for you to stop them from hen pecking and feather pecking ,then they look worse for wear and if like me had your allotment next to a public footpath, ive had complaints to the rspca ,so i got rid because i could not re feather them, so ive gone for rhodey x light sussex not as good as last lot but ok hi sex pullets from 1st hen laying to a full year to that date out of 23 birds they ave 18 eggs per
  18. miles from anywhere theres your answer mate they ll be you and farmer who know about
  19. ive had a few funnies ,one night a lad with a mastiff wanted to excerise his dog whilst we were lamping rabbits and my old bitch ran one up and down dale then ran towards the bull mastiff only for the mastiff to lower his head and the rabbit knocked itself out he was well chuffed his 9 stone dog caught a rabbit lol ,the other one what comes to mind was rabbitting with rifle on back of pick up only to see a fox coursing a rabbit we lit up the rabbit anf fox looked like a trained running dog and it was in long grass so obvious using its ears as its hunting skill not our lamp ,was very impressiv
