    I did ask on here about that a while back, the responses were that it just delayed the period rather than bypass it altogether.

    thanks for an intelligent response. I can handle dominance issues no problem so its not a big issue. And as I don't intend to breed from her (there are too many dogs out there, lets be honest) as long as she won't lose interest in the hunting field I'm happy to get her done. I hadn't realised that having a bitch spayed would be such an emotive topic!
