It's a book for people interested in all breeds of dogs, but Stonhendges passion was sporting and hunting dogs so more detail is made to these types.

    Bosun What other breeders added Bulldog? How do you know they were used as Lurchers? Have you any reference of this?? And the Bulldog they are refering to I suspect is closer to a PB its just refered to as a bulldog

    I have a copy of the book, its a good read and one to KEEP hold of Its basically explains in that chapter that the Bull dog called 'chicken' was added by Lord Orford to his coursing greyhounds and some drawing of the 1st X 2nd X etc.

    Aint that the truth, once he had my number and kept calling to try and sell me a pup. I think his tactic is to ware you down with long tedious calls, until you cave in and say YES i will have a pup, just to get shot of him :laugh: Struck me as a grade 'A' nutter, and this was confirmed s few years later when i met him in person at a show.

    Whats a broken merle ? Thats not that unusual its just mainly white, although all Merles do look pretty unusual and unique

    Loved healthy looking pups, should think they will make quite some size!

    I feed 100% raw bone, flesh and offal, with veg and supplements and very ocassionally pasta, rice or a wholemeal biscuit.

    I would make my dog wear a coat as it might effect my macho 'I keep working dogs and treat them hard cos they like it' image :cray: :laugh: F**k off some dogs need it after hard graft or if thin coated and just on road walks in shit weather.

    Feet dont need to be big to be good,I like to see good structure, strong robust and nice fleshy pads in my experience but nothing excessed in size. It's seems a little silly to state bigger is better, we dont want charlie chaplinesque running dogs with the surface area of the average dinner plate to be considered desirable :laugh: You cannot compare a Salukis 'hare' feet to a pastoral type herding breed solid fleshy padded feet? They really are totally differnt, but both good strong feet just diffent designs One area many people over look are nails and nail health keeping them trimmed

    There is no problem at all with Eggs and the shell fed raw as long as you feed in moderation same as most things. I havealso found a hard boiled egg very useful for dogs with diarrhoea and scrambled egg useful for young pups.

    I have had this happen a few times to one of my dogs, chipped teeth mainly, unlike Millets unlucky dog.

    I had set out to get a few quick snaps of my other dog lamping as my friend had just got himself a new flash for his camera. Seeing as it was a quick walkout I took the pup (near 9 months old) with us. All was going well until we decided we were going into a new field and i had told the dogs to 'stay' while we negotiated a gate, I proceeded to call the dogs over the gate, and the pup decided to disappear into the field ahead of us . I called but nothing, so gave the field a sweep with the beam and the pup was up tight behind a rabbit which he ran and caught after a few turns, luckily my frie
