  1. Nice, love little mooch's like that..just as enjoyable as big day out
  2. 140 or 170 deben tracer or light force are ample for near enough everything I have found. I use a 140 variable all the time.
  3. Nice healthy looking pups Phil, hope they catch a few rabbits for their new owners.
  4. Enjoyed reading that Magpie. These are genuine pups that's for sure.I have met Galan a couple of times and he's a very nice animal.
  5. Layers of paper or plastic between the bags and make sure no gunk dribbles oot the bags
  6. TOMO, I picked up a chest freezer of a member off here kindly gave me last year. it had a bit of water and old dead stuff in the bottom, must of been outside a while or so. My mate and me had to lift it over a fence to get it to the van from his garden, luckily he's shorter than me and when the several litres of stinking water poured down his front like a stinking waterfall, he wasn't best happy, twas a stinky old trip home I tell thee  Things we do for our dogs hey
  7. Proper grub for dogs that is Ken...good to get some put away in the freezer eh..... Yes in the freezer.............of course make sure you leave enough electric on your meter when you go on holiday....lol Got back from my hols to find the freezer was off,,,5 week away,,,hundred pound of oss meat,, and 20 rabbits......you can't emagin the horror or smell when I opened the freezer,,, couldn't get the smell out my hands for days,,, put the hole lot in the bin,,,, :bad: Jeesus.... I left a bucket of guts and skin in the garage for a few days this week and it was bad eno
  8. Great bit of grub I have been loading up lately too, tripes, lamb bones, chicken mince and venison Socks That beef looks good enough to get in a sanger for tea
  9. I suspect whether you feed dry, BARF or a mixture, you will still have to keep an eye on the weight of your dog. I cant really understand why dry would be better as you would still need to change the volume to coincide with the volume of exercise. I would opt for the feeding regime that firstly the dog looks best on and what suits your lifestyle. Good luck Sirius
  10. Quite something aren't they! Got REAL close to some big wild Salties on the Adelaide river in Australia's NT once! Incredible creatures, especially when your in a boat feeding them chicken carcasses, gets your o'ring twitching I can tell thee.
  11. No Idea, first longnet I saw used was with my dad and his mate when I was about 10 years old so about 30 years ago. But I have been using them myself over the last 10 years or so, mainly daytime for ferreting. However I have had several night time forays which have given me a few rabbits, more for the buzz than to get big numbers. Love the traditional style nets these days for lack of bulk etc, but you cant beat a pre set for speed or laying larger nets.
  12. I have two pairs of the neoprene Aigles and they are superb, the old pair I use as reserves now but I have had them around 10 years, and they are still good to go, just have a small hole which leaks. I can tell you I have walked miles and miles in these and they are superb
  13. I like the spun poly that's about in various dayglo colours, makes a nice net and easy enough to knit with. Thing is non of the twines are made with rabbit /fox netters in mind, so it's just luck that it suits are needs!
  14. Cracking fish that MIK, I haven't been out once this year...
  15. Good start well done, grounds hard as hell down in the south still :-(
  16. It's basic stuff, just like breaking a dog to anything else. Living in one of the most over populated places for them in the UK it's a must.. I can run my dog in the same field as them no probs he knows the game.
  17. Excellent good clip, I can't help feeling sorry for them, as the changes the westerners bring ain't never going to be good thing! The tribal people left on this planet rarely get treated with the respect they deserve.
  18. So you want a exact % for protein content for raw feeding? Chill, feed them a good selection of food stuff which it sounds like you are already doing a good pretty job of and relax and enjoy.
  19. Yes seen it several times in multi dog households/kennels Paulus. Had it once with my own dogs, weakness is a chink in the armour. Natures cruel and dogs are no exception. Another strange one is when a dog has a seizure the other dogs can often turn on it and kill it, it happens.
  20. It's not for me or my dog lol, Nasty looking when it goes in and worse when comes out (weird red shite) but if your happy and more importantly the dogs are ok, go for it. Willow your dog looks similar to a pup I had a while back, but he wasn't fed Wagg :-)
  21. looks fine that mate bit of bone added like a chicken neck or a few chicken feet be even better.. Looks better than my dinner
  22. Same deal here in the deep south WILF Going to take some rain to make it half decent that's for sure.
