  4. Good stuff mate I think Mullet is one of the best tasting fish about equal to Bass, as long as they are fresh from the sea - I guess the Seals think the same as me also

Do you mean Vinny? He was a wind up merchant that's for sure lol I am still upset at being called 'returd'
  6. Sad when they go :-( Seen a few pics of him over the years on the forums. Good you have a pup out of him though. Regards Sirius
  7. I am sure the odd person might read this However The rise in height I am sure is not down to introduction of another breed at all, its just breeding bigger dogs to bigger dogs and sadly this is determined by what wins in the shows not what performs best in the field. Simply people tend to breed dogs to the style that are winning, and here is where the rot sets in. If you look at the breed standard there is only a minimum height, no maximum so quite literally 'the sky is the limit' http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/services/public/breed/standard.aspx?id=1015 Or look here http://www.deerhound
  8. It's a interesting subject hey Birddog, but Wolfhound. The wolfhound was a re created breed which used Deerhound in its recreation, unless you are talking before the wolfhound died out, and maybe that's why they used it in the re creation? The 'Scottish Greyhound as its refered to in many books' is a very old breed compared to many breeds. What ever is in the mix way in the past I agree it adds that 'something' to a lurcher, which I like. But from what I have read the size for a bitch which was considered best for hunting was between 26-29 inchs. To see a 26" bitch Deerhound these days its
  9. I don't think they understand speed until something happens to them. Sounds that she's keen enough socks!?
  10. It's not that unusual to come in late and I am sure she will given time. Often if a bitch is kept too fit it can stop them from coming in to season.
  11. Looks a bit TOO clever to me. Seriously the pup looks well BBB
  12. Just playing devils advocate, but many KC registered dogs used to course under rules until the ban through the Deerhound club.I know several good people who coursed and showed their dogs. Yes many show dogs have become too big at the shoulder and couldn't catch a cold, shame as function should be foremost over form. I have run a pure bred dog on larger game a decade ago and to be honest he was poor compared to a good Lurcher mainly due to the terrain locally and small fields and not being great at turning. Another thing you notice is that they often look slow but the ground they cover is amazi

I don't like computer games myself. Got into it for a while then realised I much preferred reality and times too precious too waste.,There is no way my two boys will be allowed or encouraged in my house to play games which are not appropriate for their age. All I think when a mate of mine plays games allot is 'you sad c**t' I just cant relate to it at all, they all seem to be walking around with semi's due to GTA V being released sad.
  14. I think you will find Stabs's dogs are from the same lines as Magpies If the timing was better I would be more than happy to take on one of these pups on With the unique breed to one side it's a pleasure to see people really thinking about the way they produce dogs, with forethought, as its a 'long ol game' to breed what you want. I wish I had the time and commitment to do so..
  15. Is that the stuff what pets at home sell in big bags frozen? They sell it as beef chunks. It's got little fleshy spikes on it? I assume that's the skin? Yeah i think they sell it for a ridiculous price at Pets at Home. Anyhow if its got the spikey bits on it's ox cheek, I used to struggle to get it after BSE and the limitations on head meat being sold, but found these companies sell it.
  16. That's Ox cheek Giro, dogs do well on that usually!
  17. I have always heard good thing from Durham Animal Feeds. Never used it myself, but have used beef chunks from other companies (prize choice)and its Ox Cheek which is hard to get these days and the dogs do well on it.
