    Plenty of decent ground around there. Hope all goes well fella, I came down from Blackburn 20 years ago. Best move I ever did. It might take you a while to get used to the pace of life, everything you need to buy/get is an hour/30 miles away but that is part of the charm.     that would be sound mate. i think newkid who offered to take me out for a day is from that neck of the woods. im used to travelling up to two hours to the permissions i had up yorkshire, most of them were an hour away. i like a drink secretagentmole but wouldnt be sure whether to drink that or run the van on it . ive been fishing round this area for the last 15 years or so. made some good friends in the fishing fraternity down here who show me the ropes and some of the methods and marks.

    as some of you might remember i was pondering a move from barnsley south yorks to cornwall, most of the people who replied told me to go for it so i did.Wife took the job she was offered and started work down here mid july but it has taken me till now to get everything sorted [house, work etc.] must admit it has been the most stressful time ive ever had. im glad to get it all over with and get started settling in down here.all the new neighbours have been sound and helped the mrs while ive been up north.[funny how most of the helpers were blokes] one of them is a pest controller who wants me t

    believe it or not mate i had mine given to me for doing someone a bit of wiring in his kitchen. took me two days to stop smiling.

    i have four hobs and keep them in pairs. they are fine together but i do think the occasional bit of man love happens during the breeding season.

    never used a mk3 so cant comment on them but you can use as many collars as you like with the mk1[ would imagine its the same with the mk3] you will get a double signal if your ferrets are on the same rabbit or close together underground.most people i know who have changed from the mk1 to the mk3 say it takes a bit of getting used to but is a good bit of kit.

    cant really see it altering that much. poor kids/people with no prospects will still be in the same position as they were. lazy good for nothings will still be lazy,you cant make somebody want to do something.just my opinion.

    met him at a talk he did for the royal albert ratting club in barnsley. came and had a chat with us and seemed a decent bloke. his books are a good read even if he does embellish the stories[ who doesnt now and again] he did it as a favour to raise funds for the club. some lads who had paid to get in were slagging him off before he even got there. seemed a bit stupid to me to pay money just so you could slag him off. not one of them said it to his face just to anybody else who would listen.

    i take the occasional spliff and enjoy it but my mate has been a daily user for 12 years and his paranoia is mega. his memory is shot as well, phones me three days on the bounce to tell me the same thing, cant even remember talking to me never mind what he was talking about, so i cant see as regular use is good for you.

    mick dadd is no conman i have dealt with him loads of times and always been looked after. if buying something in and selling it on qualifies you as a conman then that includes the entire retail trade. most things you buy have been handled and marked up 2 or 3 times by the time you get your hands on them.

    scrapyard stretch in newark is good for a try. plenty of barbel to be had chub up near the weir or try trotting a stick float a bit further down the stretch.
