    The lottery

three of my friends were in a syndicate that won 2.2 million between 10 of them . this was about 12 or so years ago . some had blown it in 12 months others bought a few houses to rent out and used it to set up their own businesses. One of them is on here under the name ossieowl .Dont bother with the begging letters as he is one of those whose got fcuk all left lol.
  2. hello and welcome mate. moving to cornwall myself in two weeks.
  3. ive got an adcock/stanton they are quality. use mine on the trent and severn. they make fishing enjoyable even if you dont catch much[which is generally the case for me]would recommend them but i know they arent cheap.
  4. ive got an allotment at barnsley that needs weeding if you fancy a go at that.
  5. ive started using braid but have found that when your casting and retreiving lighter lures it can cause bad line lay which then causes a bad tangle next cast.[ or maybe its my shit casting. lol]I tend to only use braid when bait fishing or when spinning sand eels with a two ounce bomb. i stick to mono for lure fishing
  6. have used wd 40, but only to spray on maggots when roach fishing.
  7. coming to live down there in july. would be more than happy to help you with your problem . coming for two weeks in june so could have a look at it with you if thats any good. thanks ,bry
  8. i have had several repaired and or serviced by mick. couldnt say if he actually does them himself but i drop them off at his house and pick them back up from his house when theyre done. He does sell second hand ones when hes got them but theyre not cheap. new collars were £40 last time my mate bought one
  9. yes great value for money. the navy lads on culdrose base, where it landed, spent all day cleaning everything to a gleam were told if they wanted to see it arrive they had to buy a ticket ffs.
  10. mick dadd repairs them
  11. cheers dytkos, newkid and born hunter. i know there a strange bunch down there but then again im from yorkshire so i suppose ive got little room to talk. i will definately do that newkid thats really good of you. iknow quite a lot of the rock marks on the coastline from polzeath to mawgan porth .would really like a day out on the boats as well. where do you go out from. i usually go out from padstow on the blue fox, with phil britts. when we get sorted out with a house i will let you know where i am and you two can call in for a beer if youre passing. the missus is a top woman born hunter.wha
  12. were loooking to rent somewhere in the delabole ,camelford st. merryn or st eval areas as this is the area we holiday in. just got to find something with a decent garden. see plenty of stuff when were out and about walking, but my passion is the sea fishing. try and cram as much in as i can when we are on holiday but i suppose now im going to be living there i will have time for everything.
  13. well gents thanks for all the replies. she has accepted the job and we begin life in cornwall in july. does any body know of any shows or meet ups that go on down there. been to one at falmouth some years back but dont know if that still goes on.
  14. not sure what i would do if i shone a beam on that one dark night
  15. What if, thats what you'll be asking yourself years from now. If its a good job your misses has lined up then go for it. Rent a house and if it doesn't go to plan the worst you can do is head back home again............ it is a good job mate she will be able to keep me in the manner to which i have be come accustomed lol. she says i have to fill the freezer with fish and other meats. to pay my way. what a bitch . i should be able to pick up some work myself anyway as im an electrician and tere seems to be a few jobs about down there.
  16. wrong shaped ball for me to worry about mate im a peanut chaser, we also go down there on holiday in december so weather is not really the clincher but giving up my everyday life and friends will be hard i agree. my life up here is pretty easy.wife earns enough money for us to live ,no mortgage, house is bought and paid for so i only work as and when. maybe its the easy life i dont want to give up.
  17. thats really good of you to offer mate ,thanks
  18. i cant even speak proper english mate im from barnsley
  19. been going to cornwall on holiday for 20 years now, i love the place and go three times a year. often talked about how good it would be to live there. now the missus has gone and got herself a job offer down there and all i can do is think about what im leaving behind up here, kids[grown up ones] mates, rabbiting permission, allotment. I love the fishing and walking down there and have made a few friends over the years but cant make my mind up whether to stick with what ive got or take a gamble. Any of you ever been in a position like this.
  20. i have an okuma epix pro.this is not abad reel for about that kind of money. i use okuma raws for most of my lure/ bass fishing . they are a better reel but considerably dearer. made for salt water fishing as well.
  21. it is to someone who can only type with one finger
  22. is it just me or does this look like a pisstake. have you seen the number of letters and symbols you have to type in, must be at least a 100. maybe its just my paranoid mind.
