  1. with the forcast predicted to be 18-20mph winds and rain for night i give bird a quick phone call to see if he fancied a trip out with dogs and as usall he was up for it. with all the rain we have been having of late i couldnt make up my mind on what to do, should i go on hilly ground with the hope that all the wet has pushed the rabbits up on the hill side or just head out on the lower ground and see what it was like. i decided to head for some flat winter wheat fields that i knew held one or two rabbits. although the wind was in our favor with good cloud cover the rabbits were ext
  2. i enjoyed that vid Trev. that little whippet looks to be tuned into the ferreting job tidy.
  3. ive dropped mine a couple of times allready and the spot just remains the same because its a fixed spot with a led so there is no bulb in there to move about and feck your spot up.
  4. its down to personal preference there is good and bad in both sexes. i prefer a dog because they dont come into season so you can take them hunting anytime you wish to go. i also prefer dogs as i think they tend to be just that bit more thicker set and generally stronger built but again i like thick set lurchers. they dont seem to mature as quick but a good dog is a loyal as any bitch will be imo.
  5. kind offer that mate. we are all good thanks, atb to you and the family for the new year.
  6. i dont drink so me and the misses will be stopping in tonight. shes been on some bloody diet for the last couple of months which she cant drink on so that suits me just fine. i will be more than happy to stay in with her and the kids
  7. i got it from a local shop mate. i found a shop on google before hand called countryman of derby that are selling them for £45 i am sure there will be other places doing the same deal if you look mate. they are going for £55 notes on the deben website.
  8. its tracer's version of the plr500 they are exactly the same imo. mine isnt the cordless version as i dont feel they have been tried out in the field long enough for me to be trusting the life span of the battery over a season or two. £45 for the lamp with the cord on and a red filter comes with it aswell for that money. ive rewired it and run it off my 14 amp lithium. its only a 10 watt led and it is plenty bright enough for any lamping i do round here. i will drop you a pm later when the misses gets back from work and i wont have the kids then lol 10 amp lithium n one of them get 10

  11. with a combination of reading posts on here and seeing a couple of 150 sport lamps in the field i decided to buy myself one today. i got home with it and this afternoon i stripped down and rewired it to my spec as i do with all my new lamps. bird popped over tonight and we headed to our spot for a planned short walk just to see if the difference in beam colour had any effect on the dogs ability to work the lamp on the odd squatters that we may come across. the weather was against us a little bit as the rain stopped and the sky started clear, by the time we were back at the car it was brigh
  12. great stuff lads. i havent managed a days ferreting this season. i caught my first lot of pregnant does the other night on the lamp looks like i will need to get some ferreting done here in the next couple of weeks.
  13. looking good. unuasal markings for a lurcher what age is he now?
  14. keep doing what you are doing and with time and patience and there is a good chance the pup will come good. i have a mate who rescued a adult dog from a hard life. with plenty of time and patience the dog serves him well and is a valuable team member who wont be easily replaced.
  15. you would have thought so at that level of boxing.

    Smart Tv ??

ive got a curved screen samsung t.v and not one single visitor has noticed its curved whilst watching it so i dont see the curve screen makes any difference to to viewing quality to be honest. it does make a difference in the price though. mines the 40" screen dont know if 50" would stand out any better Thanks for the info mate maybe I should go to the shop and see it turned on and go from there. Some folk say you have to watch the curved TVs head on and not at an angle or the screen looks dark?? ive never really noticed to be honest ive had the t.v easy a couple of months.

  22. That's where the dog food is kept and it was feeding timeIt used to be princesses spot to watch the food be done but Jaspers taken it over sounds like hes going to be the gaffer in the house. he looks well. what colour is he as he? Wrote most of the reply in the above reply but forgot you asked about colour he's a weird one sort of fawn, black and possibly some blue haven't a clue what colour you would call It though i thought he looked a mixture of colour in the pic but wasnt sure of if it was just the light in the room.
