i always rely on loads of praise when they start retrieving. never fed treats to a dog when doing any training except teaching them to sit. i give the occasional fuss and praise with my older dogs expecially if i am having a night when i start getting a decent size bag.

Well done Cruyff...my pup has only had a young pigeon and the tail feather's off another, I know Jazz takes feather regularly for you...all my dogs have caught the odd bird but is there a good way of getting them to take them regularly mate? hes had 3 squatters upto date mate, over all hes ticking along nicely.

no trigger i used to walk it all the time and bike my dog up there there he be about now as hes got the birds over the back but no hassel yesterday or today its a nice place for a walk,everyone says its hot we lamped it at end of last season a few times and iv ran a few times there in the day on the other stuff with my little red dog with the bad leg,maybe i was lucky but no hassel but i can see why you ask its heaven for the main game up there put the lamp on certain fields it lights up lol i take it youv been up there aswell a few times i only asked mate as i believe its a hot spot to

Yes mate a good day,,,same bit you came on at the end of season when we had that 9 foot dig to chucks... i take it you or vin didnt drop the ferret in that warren again then lol. ive been in contact with vin and you had a decent morning by all accounts well done. i am going to do a hour with my kitts this morning in a small fur tree plantation with a cover crop running along side it. plenty of holes and hardley a bloody nettle in there. first time on the ground so i havent a clue whats there.

ive been a little pre occupied the last week to 10 days so the dogs have been having it easy but with the wind being a nice pace today and rain forcast all night i thought i would try the pup out for a while on the lamp. i set off just before the rain started and got to one of my favourit fields for running pups on, but tonight it just wasnt to be as i only saw 1 rabbit and that went like shit off a stick as soon has the beam touched it lol. i walked another 2 adjoining fields only seeing the 2 more rabbits with that i decided to try another spot as i got there and in through the first gat

depending on what your end goal is and what you have got in the lurcher line then putting a pure greyhound in the mix wouldnt be such a bad idea. greyhounds can put height back into a line along with a little added speed which is sometimes not so bad. you could well end up with some good pups on you hands. mixed with the right lurcher blood they could be some hardy dogs

thats tidier than some kennels ive seen over the years lolThinking of making a kennel block soon now that the chest freezer is on the blink trig, be handy now I have a pup.Come ready insulated ,with a handy lid ,cool in the summer warm in the winter,what you reckon? Last time I'll give you a freezer were you post when you marked that hole out not when he marked it but deffinatly when he cut it out lol.

Still fa no man beast or dog, cryuff growing well and I believe he will be there a outs what I was looking for physically mentally who knows he a fecking nut job already when things a moving out there other than gentle has could be with other dogs people children etc lovely dog to be around atb bunnys. i cant fault my dog around the kids and other dogs i am looking forward to seeing the end product.

Tomo, i thought i reckonised that hedge lol. its seen a few rabbits lined up in front of it over the years. well done lads ive got a nice pic from in front of that hedge aswell lol.

£3.50 for 15 kilos all fresh the day you buy it That's cheap that is. I pay £15 for 15kg of Chicken carcass. ive been paying same money as you but i get it in 1kilo tubes allready minced.

imo adding a good balance of meat helps with the stamina in the dogs aswell especially on those hard nights out. i feed raw mince chicken to my dogs along with dry food. and also other meats from time to time
