I got dropped off lamping one night in my late teens on a walk I had done loads of times anyway a few fields into my journey I got to a road where I had a choice to walk over the river bridge and cut through a old church yard or keep on a straight route up the side of the river and eventually come to a bridge and cross over there. Anyway I decided to cut through the church yard as I had done umpteen times before. I got so far through the church yard and the dog began to growl and snarl to which I i told him to shut up by this time he was stood still and wasn’t easing with his growling and snar

You can read threads in the lurcher section from 2004. I ain’t sure how much longer the forum has been running for. As some of the lads have pointed out there have been some funny/entertaining threads on her over the years.

A collie grey would be a nice dog to have round you mate, should be more than decent in the family environment and should be easy to train and should slip into working along side the terreiereasy enough. Or even get a whippet.

She looks in good condition for 7. What you thinking I’ve got a dog who will be 8 on the 25th or I’ve got a tin of beans could possibly do a straight swap.

Nice one black neck. I’ve walked miles tonight had a bit of sport finished with 5 rabbits if the dog had got a little more experience it would have been a slightly different result. There was some Hard ground to catch on in places as well.

Although the internet has got some good points it’s also opened the door for a lot of normally quiet folk to become f***ing cowardly bullies. It’s a shame they ground her down to that point that she had to take her own life for sharing pics of something she loved and is well within her rights to enjoy.

Just out of interest greyman if you do come across a big cat and have some good quality images of one off your cams would you report it straight away or would you spend a few weeks trying to track it down and doing your own small study before reporting it. I am not a big believer in them myself but I ain’t completely ruling out the possibility of them being in this country.

Alls animals communicate in some way or another. When I was a lad my old girl had a dove cot at the bottom of the garden and of a night the rats use to sit out and eat the spare seed off the floor. I use to shoot 1 with the air riffle and the others would run the garden fence for home. Between there home and the dove feed we use to chuck the grass cuttings in a pile so I set a trap in there so I would kill1 with the pellet gun and have a 2nd in the trap. It didn’t take long for them to start running round the trap so they soon cottoned on.

That’s the thing greyman, the knock on effect to other animals especially with the decrease in rabbits. the rabbit has got a lot of predators who’s diet has a lot of rabbit in it. Birds of prey, stoats, weasels will suffer a knock on effect. The birds of prey will start taking more small song birds and birds in general so they will suffer etc etc

We have only our selves to blame, playing god and introducing shit to animals. It’s a crying shame if the hare population gets hammered as well as they are just starting to make a decent come back. The rabbits are taking a hammering also from man made disease. Ive said it before on here how can they ban hunting with dogs for being cruel then allow disease like that is beyond me. Especially myxie that’s a damn cruel way to go.
