  1. Wow your on the good stuff no wonder your getting top benefit.
  2. Do you not get extra money from the government for that blackneck. I thought all addicts got a litttle extra each week?
  3. Pretty much the same as what’s happening over brexit. They would all be too busy fighting and arguing who’s was in charge and get no where
  4. It’s a good honest advert imo. As for allowing the dog to still be breathing after biting children is unacceptable. I had my old dog put to sleep last summer because his marbles were going, the biggest deciding factor was the safety of my children. we had 13 and half years of good adventures together
  5. Ffs. It’s a warped old world we live in
  6. It ain’t no wives tale in my experience mate. Heavily lamped dogs will have a tendency to start doing it but there are exceptions to every rule, Same as it ain’t just collie Xs that will pick there runs and stalk I’ve seen other breeds do it as well again heavily lamped dogs
  7. Same could be said about any dog though mate. Are they able to take the same hammer as a well bred lurcher do you think before they crack? I know all round work is asking something different of them to what they are specifically bred for
  8. This is why I am asking bosun as perhaps somewhere down the line I would like to try one myself.
  9. I often read on here about adding coursing dogs into lurcher lines and was wondering if given a choice of a well bred coursing dog or a well bred lurcher dog which would you choose. I don’t know a great deal about coursing dogs and am not one for fancy names but would a coursing dog give you any added advantage for all round work and would they be hardy enough to take the broad spectrum of work that can be given to a multi tasking lurcher.
  10. I’ve always liked the look of those little mooching dogs of yours, I am not one for reading books or else I would have put my name down for one.
  11. As the vet advised you that the fastest way other than a drip to get it into the dogs system is to rub it on the gums mate, had a dog do it years ago when out with a mate and the vet at first tried to talk me out of bringing it in she advised jam honey or anything real sweet rubbed onto the gums. Unfortunately the dog was past that and needed to see the vet. Vet popped a drip into the dog and within 10 minutes it was stood up and able to eat some tinned food.
  12. Not good mate, hopefully the dog makes it through for you. Sounds like a hyperglycaemia fit that’s caused another problem. I’ve seen a lot of dogs over the years acting like yours and it’s not nice, luckily I have never been the owner of one that’s fitted.
  13. If it doesn’t work, you can always hit them with it? what a sales pitch along with the caption on the pic. Great film.
  14. Why in your opinion do you think that’s dear for a lurcher but exceptable for coursing dogs. They ain’t no more special than a well bred lurcher. Just asking mate as I too think that’s way to much for a mongrel.
  15. Nature is pretty good at survival mate. I would have thought A lot of those rabbits would have moved to higher ground for the time being. Trouble is the may stay away for a good while now.
  16. As we speak all the family next door are pulling up outside the house awaiting the hurst to bury a lad in his 20s who ended his life in the last couple of weeks due to depression. Use to see the lad most days and never once thought he had got issues it’s a strange old thing
  17. Depression is a c**t and can be difficult to live with. It can cause folk to almost separate there self from others as there feelings prevent them from wanting to socialise. I get bouts of it myself I can shut myself away for days refuse to answer the phone as I don’t want to speak or deal with anyone. The thing is with depression it can come and go at the drop of a hat and there’s and you don’t always know what’s triggered it off.
  18. I think you are ok with a certain amount of noise up until 11 o’clock at night but don’t quote me on that. Sounds to me like you haven’t got much to worry about if they only bark on the occasions you say.
  19. One of the biggest problems on here for stopping a large percentage of posts has unfortunately been its own members bitching and arguing. It’s a shame really but a lot of folk just can’t be bothered no more.
  20. Nice one newkid. I am looking forward to my lad being old enough to be out doing stuff like that together, he’s only 3 at the moement
  21. Nor me mate but it seems to work from the couple of experiences I’ve had from it.
  22. There’s was a chap I use to knock about with a few years ago always use to tell me to give a bitch a pint of full cream cows milk everyday once she has whelped to help her keep good weight and plenty of milk flowing from the bitch. That along with plenty of good grub is about all you can do. right or wrong it seems to work and the bitch goes mad for it, the mans dogs were always in great fettle at all times he kept some of the best looking dogs condition wise I have seen.
