  4. thanks jim. ive kept a tally of what hes caught me so far this season and last nights bag has made it upto 186 rabbits so far. i will round it upto the 200 milestone with him then i might call it a season.
  5. cheers rocky. hes a shade under 27tts. not alot of knuckle left on him now he should make 27 comfortable.
  6. well done again jim and dog. i went out last night aswell, got soaked through but enjoyed every minute of it.
  7. i decided late on last night that i was going to take the pup out for a couple of hours as there was a decent breeze and drizzle, but it was light as there is some moon behind the clouds. i set off and decided to head for some winter wheat fields to see if i could get some decent runs, the ground was very soft in places and the rabbits were very lamp shy which mean't the pup had his work cut out. i walked the first few of the fields and what rabbits decided to squat were turning out to be hard work for the pup, almost every course you could see the pup hitting the soft spots on the fields
  8. imo theres only a handfull of people who actually know and understand what it takes.
  9. if your walking the dog for 2-3 hours a day hes having a nice amount of exercise. even better if the pups free running the whole time you are out. i dont use the things myself, imo the whole point of owning the dog is to get out into the field and put the time into it yourself.
  10. fairplay to that bitch Tomo she s doing well. i hope to see the hundred mark done myself one day
  11. nice one jim. i bet the dog enjoyed every minute of the night out even though he had to do some running for what he caught.

  15. they can have seasons where they dont come in properly. bitches do vary abit on when they stand for a dog aswell some will stand at 11 days others wont stand until day 19 when they are almost out of season. bitches can also have phantom pregnancy's they will have full milk on them and there stomach swells like they are definately in pup. my sisters spaniel had a false pregnancy every time she came in season.
