  4. most people prefer to have them off when they are pups. imo it isnt the end of the world if you dog has them on as you can always have them removed off a adult dog. my old dog whos 7 has got his front dew claws on they have never caused him a problem. my 8 month old pup also has his on.
  5. had a visit today from bird (ray). we had a quick pit stop at the cafe for a breakfast each then went on to walk the dogs for a few hours, the weather wasnt the best as it was foggy and we had to do a different walk to what i had planned. but all in all it wasnt a bad outing the dogs enjoyed there selves. a couple of pics. bryn my pup bryn and Tod. bryns sure theres one in there the pack the pack again. bryns farely well hid a water stop

  7. you have to keep trying these spots as you never know if its going to be a worth while trip out or not.
  8. i believe that fallow bucks take some catching, but depending on ground and weather all breeds of quarry at one time or another can be a challange for a dog.
  9. heres my two. my old dog and my pup
  10. good little outing that dean, lola's looking well
  11. i always choose the smallest warrens i can for the first few outings with my young ferrets then gradually put them in bigger and bigger warrens as the season goes on. i like to try and treat a young ferret like a young dog make life as easy as possible when starting them off. it also helps to have a good marking dog so as you know theres a rabbit in warren almost every time, then you know if the ferrets doing his/her job.
  12. its always nice to see pics/ posts about whippets they are great little dogs.
  13. good job. sounds like there might be a good trip out in the future if there's plenty of signs of activity.
  14. i dont understand how you can say that rabbits are not a test for a dog. if you go out and catch decent or large bags regular with a dog doesnt that test it both mentally and physically?
  15. yes mate,,, then whatever it was from yours to mine bloody hell. i took a wrong turn on my way home which made my overall traveling to just over 500 miles. well worth it though.
  16. good man decent haul as always. i know what you mean about the nights being so warm.
  17. well done lads another great night there, good to see folk putting the time in and catching the quarry Tomo was it a 250 mile round trip we done?

  21. i wouldnt like to hazard a guess to be honest, but it was a good few.
  22. i feed my dogs cooked rabbit, raw venison and dried food. ive found that if my dogs are worked and run hard on dry food alone that they dont seem to posses the same amount of stamina on hard nights.
