Out of interest now i got plenty of dig perm for both types and plenty of ground for the long ear in the day on fairish size fields 60-150+acre and we can take alook at few bambi and maybe a lamp. I would even put anyone up i would like to see 1 lurcher do it all to a decent enough standard. Someone please show me what im missing. Few guys no on here i got all the perm. Need my eyes opening as i must of lived a sheltered life

Everyones view of an all rounder is different. What i trying to say . my own opinion that they dont exsist. Not something that can do it all. Stick its head in a dig pull out the stripe then maybe run 3/3 on fens. Maybe its the word ALL i dont like. Seen some come close but not everthing to a good standard to be called a allrounder. I see it as a sell fix nothing more or less. Thats my own opinion nothing about understandimg

If it was not to a suitable standard then it was not an allrounder, myth?,nah, commitment and a zealous quest. What zealous mean...

What does all round mean to you ??? Not a dig wales1234 that bitch is a tidy lookimg mutt when i seen her but how would she fair on a hare on big field even on lamp. Im yet to see an alrounder well one that is any real use at each task. Always been brought up on horses for courses and if you do all of lurcher spectrum own two mutts as i put alot of money forward that no 1 dog will do it all to a satisfactory standard. Just my take. Not on how veritile the game is and the ground is in the uk. From field to fen from dig to ferret to day and night to flat land to hill to lamp or to course and fr

Luke is bred out of charlie over sweet by chocolate.

Me it both , my real passion is daytime on real testing ground but like also lamping as it has a total dif test for mutt cant beat watching them put it all to bed. A good dog should be able to switch from one to the other. It tells in dogs out alot as they normally can do this

Lets remember these dogs have been bred from greys that have been tested and raised to hunt there land. Our greys have more stamina then you think if raised correctly. 9/10 most greys are reared to race to give that all in one run. My mucca had two for years both dead now. The one did 4/4 5/5 on hares reg even on the fens and the other did 3/3 easy enough on the fens. These were brought on from pups taught to uses gears not just one straight line

All sorted he spent just over 2000 on pup from ireland

Like everything they will be subject to wear and tear and eventually parts fail but lets remember what they were originally made for and still used for. There designed to take more stick. For user like skiiers and snowboarders to be able to use the systems when snowboarding off the trail. Obviously they need to be prity robust to have to survive the constant knock snow sports give them. Its the reason they cost so much due to how well there made. Just my take

I had a time all about numbers, travelled all over. Just me the dog the car and me kit. Some times i'd be gone for days on end some times weeks if i took the trailer Cant do it the same now the nipper is about. She gotta be in school. For me now its all about the run/catch ratio. Thats all i care about.

Oh and work this out it only 1800lumens full power but that beam is blinding over 1100 meters if needed. Level 1 is only 200lumens again blinding over 300 meters. How tech has moves forward. Not like the first led 4000lumens and only go 100meters
-
I use the nitecore tm36 on only level 1 or 2 setting. i find beam better then light force striker or blitz Nice and tight low spill. It goes up to level 5 which is fens type running beam doesnt seam to split or fade over long range stays tight. Worth every single penny. Beats any light force i ever owned . Plus the low setting is like the light force lance so dont matter what field you come to always got the right beam. Had it for £65 in on a deal meant to cost well over £300 i think.

When ever a ligimant is surgically altered ive never seen a dog the same again . Did you explain shes a working dog. I bet that percentage he gave is for the normal dog not under any stress well real stress a running dog will endure. Admire you trying

Putting Up With A Average Lurcher...paulsmithy83 replied to GIBB0's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs Don't believe all the hype , there are 1000's of average dogs out there just like there are 1000's of bad out there but IMO there are only a select few above average . Be happy with an average animal
