    same i also like seeing the dog being worked to the max having to push its self . all you here it took 3 or 4 mins to kill, thats a good hare. or is the dog a duffer then loSome hares just wont be killed fast regardless of whats behind them. This is what alot of coursing men look for. I not saying others are duffers as all hares have natural running ability. Mine will kill em quick but if the hare stays so can my dog. Supose if your in it for numbers quick and on to next is great but if like me you like the course prefer and to watch both fine specimnes run then 2/3+ minute runs is gonna be wh

    Jabs are 2 weeks apart not 4 at my vetsBoth systems work just depends what type vaccine the vet uses. Two methods same end result lol

    No one can really say there duffers a catch is a catch to many things to take into account why they get caught quicker then others . Just i prefer to see my dog tested on a long run no one can control how long each will be just like to see what my dog can do when pushed harder. Is it a good hare or a bad hare imo all i care is its a good run and dogs had to earn the right to catch the hare...

    Tomo got it spot on....Much better to have way more power/time then worrying. Plus you never know what might happen when out sometimes that extra time can help. Nothing worse being miles away from anything in the dark....

    I know of a few Trench ?Yeah at what cost to the tax payer. All those millions in new patrols, vehicles and sending the chopper up on more flights to scan for lampers and so on rather then protecting the streets for crimes against other people. While every other crime is greatening as lack of prioritising funding. Maybe this should be angle for country side alliance. Many people who feel unsafe in there homes because the police are to busy patroling empty fields and roads looking for us guys exercises the right to hunt. Hate em all antis, police , government.....

    I think the quote I got a while back was £28 or somewhere in that area. OK, so its not quite the couple of grand I have spent but I felt that insurance companies are slimy b%st$rds and wouldnt pay out and usually manage to find a way to get out of paying the full amount. Also with two other dogs it was definately a lot more than what I have spent on surgery. Also my springer is 9 shortly and has not been to the vets since she was a pup so feel that the money I would have paid on insuranve for her would certainly be way over what I have spent on the lurcher. I made the decision based on my risk

    it normally happens to the special type. Lost two out in the field and both had that thing about them. Wanna close eyes some times watchin em. Bitch i got here is mad. some special catches alot wouldnt get. I like that type tho. Dont think she make 5 lol

    Do you work in places like by where j lives we had andy grey through the quarries with my bitch. Crazy the grey come un marked as it sensible. That the biggest factor. My one bitch who all i use for day who got a nose like a beagle has no respect for her speed ripped her due claw off and whilst catching went off the edge of one the quarry drops. She split her nose and tore her ear and a gash up her side but very lucky. Least she got the kill. If it was higher she be dead.... Speed is great aslong as the dog has the brain to only go as fast as it needs. Something this young bitch needs to learn

    Let mine rest for good month or so let niggles heal . And try let them mentally chill as the season has been rather hectic , take em fishing with me and just chill time. Then start ramping stuff up august with swimming and take em jogging with me and stuff.

    All I meant is that pups bred from a pure MIGHT be found wanting. The way I see it, why have a pup that is only 50% tested blood in it's background, when you can have a pup that has 100% tested background. Just my take on it. We all have our own ideas.... Completly agree mate about the 50% tested blood. Breed best to best hope to get the best with luck on your side

    J darcy when you say half grey found wanting for the keen hunter do you mean a dog with a direct sire or dam as a grey or all dogs with about 50% grey in make up. If the later that very bold statement. I hunt 4-5 times a week if not more and when we out we are out none this back in three hour crap. One my bitches works out about 50% grey and she aint no relaxed life type. Just like i know other many other dedicated lads with dog performing well with 50% in the make up. Altho i do agree coursing bred stuff bred for generations has more to offer then a grey but to say only good for the one day a

    For me , you could breed two first x over and over and get say 10 gen first x. Altho you get 50% of each breed a line can start to throw to one side and lose traits one wants. An infusion of blood can revive a line or help concrete certain traits in and put it back what you want. This is where adding pure to a line should be used. I like greys lucky to see a few very good ones. Prob is the percentage of greys that is actually worked is probly the least in all the breeds. This where the probs arise

    If there was ever a time for mayweather to take a fall it would be this fight, rematch be worth double this one easily. Like said with politics in boxing it rare to get to very good worthy fighters in a ring together. To managed now adays that is where mma is better in that respect. But dont think ever be as popular as boxing.

    It hard to find any vids of the beam of the tracer 150 out and about be interesting to see a small vid of it performing. Doesnt even have to be on game just a vid of the lamp working in field with range guides. Bit like they dp for all these cree torches
