  1. Did you make that up all by yourself.
  2. "When is the bitch working"? Surely if your breeding from a bitch she'll have had numerous seasons under her belt before you'd think of breeding from her? That's when she'd have been working. And if you have a yearly breaker that comes in season Sept/Oct are you suggesting she shouldn't be bred from? I've brought pups in during spring, summer, autumn and winter and never found much difference tbh, they all get started when they're ready, just because it's the start of the season doesn't mean you've got to start the pup off. if you can afford to keep multiple dogs running thats

  6. Suppose it would make a change from talking shit. Well done though lads, that's a good number of rabbits. Genuine question, why would you have a dog on a leash when you're ferreting?
  7. I'm the same, have used Beta, Gain, Chudleys, Wafcol, Red Mills etc in the past but moved onto Autarkey adult salmon last year and found it better than the others. Seem to be able to feed smaller portions which to me would indicate it's better quality.
  8. Used Gain 28 in the past and found it sound, not keen on the 20% though, dogs just seemed to produce more shite.
  9. Plenty of people are pumping pasta and brown bread into there dogs.not many mention feeding plenty of fat Sure it's been mentioned on here more than once that dogs get their energy from fat not carbs, some folk take things on board while others don't.
  10. Wouldn't believe anything they say, watched the one from Dumfries a few months back, that Martin gadgey was on about the river nith and salmon. There was that many inaccuracies from him it was unbelievable, for example did you know the salmon that run the Nith come from Norway?
  11. Well done Stevo and Monkey, the weans look chuffed to bits. This was my youngest boys first trip out with the ferrets, he was 18 months.
  12. "Know all kids" must take after their faither, eh.
  13. Get one up then pal. Which way is she bred?
  14. Naw. I wish that was the case, I've one here who came in season last June at 10 months and again in December. I can assure you she is a lurcher. Yep. I said on another similar thread. My old bitch came in every 5-6 months. Wasn't expecting her to come back in as soon Gaz, caught me by surprise. After she's had her season in the summer she'll start getting jabbed Sept/Oct to stop breaking during the season.

  16. Really hope they work out for you, you won't know if they're worth the money until you've used them for a good few months though. I bought a similar pair they were made by Bison and cost £30, they leaked out of the box, after speaking to the supplier it was agreed I should seal them with aquasure. That solved the problem but just one month later they split on the top of the boot where it bends above the toes, total crap, thankfully I got my money back. Bought a pair of Grubs Riverline neoprene wellies from Uttings for £39.99 [down from about £85], different quality all toge
  17. Have you ever used Delvosteron to suppress a bitches seasons? I wouldn't pretend to know much about greyhounds. I would however ask my Dad who's spend near on 40 years at flapping tracks to answer that for me. He used to jab bitchies and it never hampered performances long term... Likewise I've spent many years on the flapping tracks, have used Duratesan and Laurabollin and never had any issues but that Delvosteron puts them off their running big time, it's happened to a lot of lads that's used it.
  18. Was told years ago not to believe everything I read, I would say in this case it would've been good advice for you to have been given. Have you heard of greyhound trainers talking about it in the past tote. Never heard anyone mention it before King and I trained greyhounds on the flaps for years so have been amongst them but no not a peep about it. To be honest it's just a load of cack.

  21. I dont understand what you mean by take her out of season. Do you mean he gave her a suppressant to stop her coming in? Yes hormone injection to stop her coming in season. Similar to the jab women can have, or the pill or implant. Gaz in your first post you say the bitch was jabbed to bring her out of season, yet in your reply you say it was to stop her coming into season, which was it? Once a bitch has started her season it is too late to try and suppress it, best leave her to get on with it. If she wasn't in season do you know what he jabbed her with? If it was Delvosteron I'm
  22. Put the vetwrap on then electrical tape over it. The vetwrap does stick to itself but can work loose hence the reason for securing it with electrical tape.
  23. Just leave them on at present, some dogs run their entire lifetime without having any issues with their dew claws, while others can get a lot of grief from them, time will tell. If you do have issues with dew claws you could always wrap them with a bit of vetwrap and electrical tape. By the way the price your vet quoted you was a fecking joke, I would change vets pronto.
  24. The One are you saying if you had a 15 year old daughter you'd quite happily let her go out all night etc, etc? It certainly wouldn't be acceptable for me, she's 15 ffs.
