  1. 5-7% fat seems on the low side,I'd tend to agree with Chaz and opt for between 10-17% fat. Each to there own though. I'm interested in why you don't give your Greyhounds milk when they're in training thechef as I know of lots of trainers that feed milk with the dogs breakfast.
  2. Why should their meal be low in fat grewgirl?
  3. Was it a Ringed Plover or a Little Ringed Plover?

2 fleas on a f**ny one is a burglar one is a junkie how do you tell them apart? The burglar is hiding in the bush and the junkie is sniffing the crack!

  7. I agree with the replies so far.I bought a box of 200 years ago and threw most of them in the bin. Couldn't get any kind of grouping with them.
  8. It's right enough then, every village has one.
  9. Sadly the Nith like the Annan and the Border Esk don't get anything like the runs of sea trout they used to. In the mid 1960's rod catch returns topped 9500. In the early 1980's that figure had a high of 6500. In 2006 the rod catch returns didn't reach 1000. That gives us an idea of how bad it has become.
  10. I had a mooch about with the AAS410K .22 tonight and managed to bag 10 rabbits of varying sizes.I'm not overly keen on killing the smaller ones but this landowner wants nothing spared. I'm putting a couple of pics up of the best shots to try and give an idea of distance, not sure if it'll work though. 43 yards 46 yards
  11. It's pretty poor mackem.

  17. I got it on a single Dendrobaena worm hooked onto 2 size 12's and 4lb nylon with a single split shot.I was out light lining for sea trout and didn't expect anything bigger than 3-4lb.
  18. I needed to pay a visit, so I found a public toilet that had two cubicles. One of the doors was locked. So i went into the other one, closed the door, dropped my trousers and sat down. A voice came from the cubicle next to me: 'Hello mate, how are you doing?' Although I thought that it was a bit strange, I didn't want to be rude, so I replied 'Not too bad thanks.' After a short pause, I heard the voice again 'So, what are you up to?' Again I answered, somewhat reluctantly, 'Just having a quick poo... How about yourself?' The next thing I heard him say was ...... 'Sorry
  19. Most of the dogs I've had over the years have reached their full height by the time they are 10-11 months old. They seem to sprout untill they get to 8 months then slow down. My last bitch was 24.5" at 9 months and she finished up at 25" The bitch before that was 25" at 9 months and finished up at 25" And the dog before that was 23.75" at 9 months and finished up at 24" But as has been said already they are all different.
  20. Here's a couple of pics of an 8.5lb salmon that I caught today at 12 noon. My youngest son Brodie helping me hold it.
  21. That's a fair point Lee,the thing is we all know what's been banned and what's legal regarding lurcher work.I'm pretty sure we do what we want when we're out with our dogs but do we really need to post about the illegal side of the game on an open forum? As has already happened with other posts they just vanish.
  22. Your the numptie that started the site. Did someone hold a gun to your head stormrider and make you join this site. You know what they say, if you don't like it feck off.
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong Strong Stuff but I'm sure that isn't a digital SLR camera,it's what's sometimes known as a "bridge camera" as it tries to bridge the gap between compact and slr cameras. That said,it is still a crackin' camera for the money.
  24. Where does the name "Rescue Home" come from? I'll give you a true example of what happened to me when I tried to "rescue" a lurcher in the local dog pound many years ago. A man I knew in the village next to mine had a crackin' lurcher bitch, when he got sent to the slammer for netting the river his wife phoned the National Canine Defence League telling them to come and take the lurcher away. This they did. When I found out a couple of days later I phoned the NCDL and asked if they had any lurchers in,"yes we do" was the answer. Then I asked if one was a fawn bitch from village X? "yes
  25. Have you trialled her or raced her on a track? More than likely she would be fast enough to race as all races are graded, starting with the fastest [open races] down to the slowest,eg-A1-A2-A3-all the way to A12 or more.
