Doesn't sound sickly at all mate - my wife has made me a better person no doubt about it...she's good for me on so many levels...keeps it all together and I wouldn't know what to do without her to be honest...maybe I should tell her how I feel about her more often...now that is sickly eh

i thought i use to have hidings ,......but mine seem pritty minor compared to use socks.......if im honest me old man was either a work a holic or in the pub ,......didnt have much time for us ........mother done everything with us...... my dads effection was giving us money and still is today ........he cant show effection.......or emotion .....hes a tough man who for some reason never or couldnt show love......... me grandparents ,aunties and uncles were what got me into working dogs and im nothing like me ma and pa they see me as the out cross...........bit rugged and shaggy not there pri

I like your above post J...good level headed lad,you'll do well in this game,your in it for the long haul unlike some "know it all types" who crawl back into the woodwork from where they came after a season or two or when a problem arises..dogs always look mint,no lurchers maybe shouldn't take over your life but by feck if you get that bug your bolloxed..I'm talking from years of experience lol and i think your heading the same way haha...Atb Andy Thanks mate very kind words and yes I've got the lurcher bug for sure hahaha I agree with Fuji you are a decent young lad who has never come o

Ah loved the smoking - enjoyed every one of the 40 a day I used to smoke...used to smoke 3 before I got out of bed in the morning loads through the day and last thing at night I had another 3 or 4 before I went to sleep and if I woke in the wee small hours another couple then...woke up one morning and can't remember much until I was in the hospital all wired up and shitting masel...not brave enough for the smoking anymore...

Geoff - to be honest 44 years of dog experience means very little - I know some folk who have had many, many years experience in this game and you could write the wortwhile stuff they know on the back of a postage stamp...and on the other hand I know some lads who've had one or two dogs and a handfull of years in the lurcher game and they're pretty well clued up, and well worth listening to and know their stuff...one of the biggest idiots I know had had running dogs for over 50 years and wouldn't know a good dog if it bit his arse...

I do nothing inside the house and that includes cooking - my wife is a fantastic cook and she bakes most days...totally spoiled...my favourite is her spicy meatballs with her own pasta and garlic bread or venison chilli...

I am not running the dog early .... Infact I am trying to take her places where there is no game .... Oh and I can guarantee that I will not ruin this bitch ............... Tell you what though mate you have had this pup out in the field since it was around 8 weeks and you have posted regularly regarding progress made - I'm not too surprised...I have had young dogs work/track deer...you only get what you put in and you have certainly put the work in with this bitch...good luck to you both...be good to see the end result... -
