One of the best fox dogs I ever had was an ex-flapping greyhound bitch...got her to breed lurchers with many years ago...she never ever came in season but she certainly provided me with an immense amount of fun she killed the first fox she ever ran and took deer in her stride...DOWNSIDE and there's always one isn't there...she also killed terriers, sheep, goats, chickens, ran cattle and horses...anything that moved old Lassie thought it was fair game....

Good point there - I hear of folk with 2000 friends on fbook - fk me I don't know anything like that amount of folk - I am on FB to keep in touch with some of the lads I train with at home and abroad...think I have 30 FB friends and know them all???? That's it mate, i see folk on there, with 100's of friends, most of which they have never actually met, and they are sticking photos of their dog killing charlie as their profile picture and shot. And they are surprised when their doors get put through! -

I remember reading a post on here not long after I joined and it went along these lines "WHAT DOGS DID YOU START THE SEASON WITH AND WHAT DID YOU END IT WITH???" Can't remember the exact crosses but it went something like this: "I STARTED THE SEASON WITH: 2 X BULL X GREY 1 X DEER X GREY 1 X WHEATON X BULL 2 X LAKIES 2 X PATT X JRT" And then went on: "AND ENDED THE SEASON WITH 2 X COLLIE X DEER X GREYS 1 X SPANIEL X COLLIE 1 X LAB X DEER AND A GUN..." Okay, I paraphrased that a little but that was the jist of it all - he started the

I do, only recently told folk on here I've a kid Only playing mate - you make sense though...I had it tight recently and it's just a case of keeping the head down... Best way mate. As soon as something comes out your lips or written down, you have no control of who will get it. We all do it. Someone tells you a secret they got told then finish by saying, don't tell anyone. But they were told the same and you won't be the only one told lol. Head down and get on with it. -

Source a pup, train it up through the Summer and Autumn,Early winter start the lamp training. Sound advice - remember there'll be some casualties now that the end of the season is here...get yersel a pup and you'll stand a far better chance of making something of it...get an older dog now and you'll be taking on someone's cast off...good luck anyway...
